If you are a strategic fundraiser and relationship-builder who believes in the power of community impact, this is your opportunity to lead meaningful change.</p> <p>About the Role</p> <p>Reporting directly to the CEO, the Vice President of Development provides visionary leadership for all financial development strategies, including:</p> <ul> <li>Annual giving and major gifts </li><li>Government and foundation grants </li><li>Endowment and planned giving </li><li>Capital campaigns </li><li>Strategic partnerships </li></ul> <p>You will shape and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy that ensures long-term sustainability while positioning the Y as a trusted convener and collaborator addressing critical social issues in our community.</p> <p>What You'll Do</p> <ul> <li>Design and lead a bold, data-informed fundraising strategy that achieves annual and long-range goals. </li><li>Cultivate, solicit, and steward major donors, corporate partners, and community leaders. </li><li>Direct capital campaigns, annual campaigns, and endowment initiatives to maximize impact. </li><li>Partner with the CEO and Board of Directors to build a highly engaged fundraising board and volunteer network. </li><li>Secure foundation and government grants through strategic research and compelling proposals. </li><li>Lead and inspire high-performing annual giving and special events teams. </li><li>Collaborate with Marketing to craft compelling, mission-centered messaging that mobilizes donors. </li><li>Represent the YMCA as a visible, influential leader in the community. </li></ul> <p>Who You Are</p> <ul> <li>A seasoned development leader with 8+ years of progressive fundraising experience (YMCA or nonprofit experience preferred). </li><li>An experienced team leader (5-7+ years supervising staff) who builds strong, accountable, high-performing teams. </li><li>A strategic thinker who leverages trends, data, and relationships to drive sustainable growth. </li><li>A confident communicator and persuasive storyteller who inspires generosity. </li><li>Skilled in major gifts, planned giving vehicles, grant writing, and campaign strategy. </li><li>CFRE preferred. </li></ul> <p>Why the Y?</p> <p>You'll join a mission-driven organization where your leadership directly strengthens youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.
