<p>Requisition No: 874429</p> <p>Agency: Children and Families</p> <p>Working Title: ELIGIBILITY DETERMINATION SPEC (IV-E) - 60052459</p> <p>Pay Plan: Career Service</p> <p>Position Number: 60052459</p> <p>Salary: Annual Salary $55,000</p> <p>Posting Closing Date: 05/04/2026</p> <p>Total Compensation Estimator Tool</p> <p>Eligibility Determination Specialist (IV-E)</p> <p>Open Competitive</p> <p>Statewide Advertisement</p> <p>Multiple positions to be hired from this advertisement.</p> <p>$55,000 Annual Salary</p> <p>Description</p> <p>This position is responsible for reviewing and approving eligibility determinations for federal funding including, but not limited to, Foster care, Adoption, and Candidacy.</p> <p>Requirements</p> <p>This position requires knowledge of federal IV-E child welfare programs.</p> <p>Essential Job Functions</p> <ul> <li>Approve program and funding eligibility determinations in the state Comprehensive Child Welfare Information System (CCWIS). </li><li>Read, understand, apply the policies and procedures established for eligibility determinations using critical thinking. </li><li>Clearly communicate interpretation of policies and procedures for inaccurate eligibility determination submissions. </li><li>Enhance and maintain professional knowledge and expertise by participating in training seminars, workshops and conferences. </li><li>Establish and maintain cooperative, professional working relationships with other agencies involved with federal and state eligibility associated with child welfare. </li><li>Participates in title IV-E foster care reviews conducted by the Children's Bureau, as requested. </li><li>Perform other related duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Work Experience Requirements:</p> <p>At minimum, 1 year experience in federal or state eligibility/claiming determinations.</p> <p>Software Proficiency:</p> <ul> <li>At minimum, 1 year experience in a child welfare/eligibility system </li><li>Microsoft Excel </li></ul> <p>Candidates requiring a reasonable accommodation, as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act, must notify the agency hiring authority and/or People First Service Center (1-866-663-4735).
