Product capabilities include:</p> <ul> <li>A context-aware, identity-centric access control solution that surpasses outdated hardware-defined and perimeter-centric approaches to infrastructure security with a "software-defined perimeter" that increases resilience, simplifies management complexity, and reduces costs </li><li>Specialized fraud prevention and authentication services for specific verticals including financial institutions and government agencies </li><li>Offensive and advanced security engineering, penetration testing and adversarial simulation. We are able to simulate nation state level attackers to help organizations understand their weaknesses </li></ul> <p>About the Position</p> <p>As a ZTNA pre-sales subject matter expert, the Sales Engineer (SE) owns the technical engagement with prospects. The SE should be capable of clearly articulating business value of Appgate SDP and related services. Additionally, the SE will be capable of gathering and validating client requirements and end state vision of the prospect. Finally, the SE should be able to articulate that vision to all internal individuals, groups, and teams responsible for downstream activities associated with converting that prospect to a customer and successfully implementing the products and services sold.</p> <p>The Sales Engineer responsibilities include technology whiteboard sessions, solution design, and configurations to meet customer requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong mix of technical skills, business acumen, and a desire to serve as a trusted customer advocate. The Sales Engineer will work closely with Implementation, Operations, Sales, Marketing Groups as well as strategic partners to propose and implement complex integrated solutions which can potentially include Appgate SDP as well as key strategic partner systems and platforms.</p> <p>Position Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Responsible for driving opportunities for Appgate's product portfolio by supporting the account team in designing, positioning, and providing technology solutions </li><li>Participates in strategic and tactical account planning </li><li>Provides technical support in sales presentations, customer meetings, trade shows, and other forums, including leading in-depth technical requirements sessions </li><li>Articulates Appgate's value proposition relative to competitors </li><li>Leads the discovery process to understand and document the customer technical and business requirements necessary for the development of an Appgate proposed solution </li><li>Develop the technical solution to include quoting and internal approvals as necessary </li><li>Provide technical, design, presentation, and implementation support for new services and upgrades </li><li>Serve as technical lead of RFP/RFI response team </li><li>Prepare & present customer facing technical presentations regarding Appgate security offerings and customer specific solutions </li><li>Develop strong relationships with customers, engineering, and product teams as a trusted advisor facilitating solution improvements </li><li>Conduct deep dive technical training of Appgate products and solutions for internal and external stakeholders </li><li>Represent the "voice of the customer" for product and development groups </li><li>Participate in identifying novel ways to demonstrate/articulate new Appgate features, capabilities, and integrations </li></ul> <p>Qualifications and Experience</p> <ul> <li>5-15 years of experience as a Sales Engineer within the Cybersecurity industry. </li><li>Demonstrated knowledge and experience designing and articulating connectivity solutions to public cloud services such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform </li><li>Familiarity with common virtualization technologies such as VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, and Citrix Xen </li><li>Familiarity with network security solutions such as firewalls/next generation firewalls, VPNs, and network access control (NAC) </li><li>Current CCNA, CCIE, CISSP, or equivalent networking/security certifications desired </li><li>Direct experience deploying, managing, or selling services tied to major public cloud providers, such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Engine </li><li>Direct experience with scripting, including use of RESTful APIs in languages such as JavaScript, python, PowerShell, etc. </li><li>Familiarity with process frameworks such as MOF, ITIL or ITSM </li><li>Familiarity with authentication protocols & services such as Active Directory/LDAP, RADIUS, SAML, and OIDC </li><li>Familiarity with encryption standards such as AES, PKI, RSA, TLS </li><li>Familiarity with serverless computing including Kubernetes and Docker </li></ul>
