<p>Job Summary:</p> <p>The Speech Language Pathologist Supervisor is responsible for the daily operations in a specialty area/site, and Speech Language Pathology team in acute care. Administers all aspects of patient care and management in compliance with department policies and procedures; assists in administering the department Quality Improvement Program within PM&R. Duties include coordinating and participating in the interviewing, orientation, and training of all staff; interacting with medical staff regarding patients' needs; assisting with updating and recommending development of revised/new policies and procedures; organizing and coordinating activity in specialty treatment areas; serving as a member of committees for the department and Upstate. Responsible for informing the clinical director/associate director of inter-working of specialty area. Supervision of this position is minimal; supervises subordinates. This role will oversee student program for SLP, coordinate and oversee CFY program for SLP.</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <p>NYS licensed & registered (or eligible) Speech Language Pathologist, degree required for licensure, and four years experience to include one year in a leadership role required. CPR-BLS certification required at time of appointment.</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <p>Work Days:</p> <p>M-F 8-4:30 rotating weekends and holidays</p> <p>Message to Applicants:</p> <p>Recruitment Office: Human Resources</p>
