<p>Overview</p> <p>During the height of the season there is never a dull moment in the cash room. From building banks, checking cashiers in/out, counting money and data entry there is always something to do. If you have a great attention to detail and love numbers, then the cash room might be the position for you.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Ensures daily cash room functions (ie. opening, maintaining and counting money, vault balancing and reporting) are completed in a timely manner </li><li>Monitor and manage cash flow </li><li>Prepares starting banks and distributes them to corresponding locations </li><li>Creates and distributes daily operating reports and various other reports </li><li>Counts, rolls and wraps money </li><li>Balances vault counts and prepares deposits daily </li><li>Delivers deposits/change requests to local bank branch in company vehicle </li><li>Handles change requests </li><li>Lift bank bags weighing up to 50lbs </li><li>Balance multiple assignments successfully </li><li>Maintain a clean and organized work space </li><li>Maintains adequate office inventory stock at offices </li><li>Problem solve and handle situations as they arise when the supervisor is not available </li><li>Implements sustainable practices in daily tasks whenever possible </li><li>Constantly strives to further the mission of the organization and avidly supports the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium, Zoombezi Bay, Safari Golf Club and The Wilds. </li><li>Preforms other duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Must be 18 years or older. </li><li>High school diploma or equivalent required. </li><li>Ability to perform basic math and understand basic accounting and cash handling </li><li>Ability to stand/walk for an hour or more at a time </li><li>Able to be trustworthy and honest with the management of organizational finances </li><li>Ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing </li><li>Ability to plan and organize work in an efficient and cost-effective manner and without direct supervision required </li><li>Ability to provide excellent guest service by positively interacting with guests and upholding the Make it G.R.E.A.T. standards required </li><li>Ability to develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with all Wilds team members and contacts regarding company business required </li><li>Ability to adhere to standard operating procedures including but not limited to safety protocols required. </li><li>Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays required </li><li>Possession of a valid motor vehicle operator's license and a good driving required </li><li>Ability to adhere to the Columbus Zoo and Aquariums drug-free workplace policy including but not limited to pre-employment, random, post-accident, reasonable suspicion and follow-up treatment required </li><li>Ability to successfully complete a criminal history background check </li></ul>
