Build your career with the industry-leading fire, life safety and security company.</p> <p>A Special Hazard Service Technician will work with Low- and High-Pressure CO2 Fire Suppression Systems, Clean Agent Fire Suppression Systems, Dry Chemical Fire Suppression Systems, and Marine Systems.</p> <p>Pay Range $22-$24 DOE</p> <p>Essential Duties & Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Install, program, commission, service, and inspection fire alarm and fire suppression systems. </li><li>Install conduit, wire, piping, and equipment for assigned fire projects. </li><li>Execute projects on time and within the allocated installation hours. </li><li>Read and interpret complicated blueprints, diagrams, submittals, and specifications. </li><li>Exhibit excellent communication skills with internal support, clients, and subcontractors. </li></ul> <p>Education/Qualification:</p> <ul> <li>A high school diploma or equivalent. </li><li>MUST have a Black Hut. </li><li>At least 2 years of experience within Special Hazards. </li><li>Knowledge of alarm and detection systems. </li><li>Fire Alarm (Siemens, Kidde, Notifier) experience preferred. </li><li>Early warning smoke detection experience. </li><li>Pre-action detection & control experience. </li><li>Experience with Clean Agent gas systems. </li><li>Knowledge of NFPA Requirements. </li><li>NICET Level I or II (preferred but not required). </li><li>Basic Electricity and Electronics knowledge. </li><li>Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. </li><li>Basic understanding of blueprints, schematics, and other technical specifications. </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Proper hand and power tool operations and safety. </li><li>Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. </li><li>Must be able to climb ladders, pull cables, and work in confined and high spaces. </li></ul> <p>Benefits and Perks:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Excellent pay</p> </li><li> <p>Medical, dental, vision</p> </li><li> <p>Company paid life insurance</p> </li><li> <p>Company paid short-term disability</p> </li><li> <p>401K with employer match</p> </li><li> <p>Paid vacation and company holidays</p> </li><li> <p>Training and Career Development</p> </li><li> <p>Company vehicle (if job applicable)</p> </li></ul> <p>Pye-Barker Fire and Safety is an Equal Opportunity Employer</p>
