Do you have a passion to make a difference? If so, we need you! This CFS Supervisor position oversees a team of Relative/Kinship Care Specialists, ensuring quality service delivery and compliance with program policies. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, and includes participation in on-call rotation.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Supervise and support a team of Relative/Kinship Care Specialists, ensuring adherence to agency policies and procedures. </li><li>Provide case consultation and problem-solving support to staff. </li><li>Review and approve Structured Decision-Making safety assessments, Assessments of Placement safety and Suitability and Out of Home Assessments as required. </li><li>Plan, assign, and track work assigned. </li><li>Evaluate staff performance; manage personnel actions including hiring, training, scheduling, and disciplinary processes. </li><li>Collaborate with CFS and Relative/Kinship teams to address the needs of children placed with kinship caregivers. </li><li>Review and approve home studies and licensing recommendations. </li><li>Participate in on-call rotation and provide consultation as needed. </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Requirements/ Qualifications:</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, sociology, counseling, human development, mental health care, education, criminal justice, or other closely related area. Experience performing case management responsibilities in protective services, alcohol/drug abuse, juvenile justice probation, counseling or social services delivery AND experience leading, coordinating, directing, monitoring, and/or supervising others</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications: Two years' recent experience as a Kinship or Foster Care Specialist. Experience mentoring, coaching, or leading a team. Supervisory experience is highly preferred.</p> <p>Other: Valid Driver's license is required. Travel for face to face visits with children, families, service providers, and other work related appointments may be required dependent upon caseload location. Utilization of a state vehicle may be provided dependent upon office location.</p> <p>Knowledge/Skills and Abilities:</p> <ul> <li>Strong knowledge of supervisory principles and child welfare case management practices. </li><li>Skilled in conducting interviews, assessing needs, and providing effective guidance. </li><li>Ability to lead, evaluate, and develop staff; manage complex case dynamics; and communicate effectively and empathetically. </li></ul> <p>Benefits</p> <p>We offer a comprehensive package of pay, benefits, paid time off, retirement and professional development opportunities to help you get the most out of your career and life.
