<p>Description</p> <p>Burns & McDonnell's Mid-Atlantic region is looking for an Air Quality Project Manager to manage air permitting and compliance services to the power, industrial, commercial, transportation and manufacturing industries in the Mid-Atlantic Region.</p> <p>This position offers challenging work with significant project variety at a successful, industry-leading company and an opportunity for advancement in a dynamic, growing Air & Noise practice.</p> <p>The Environmental Air Specialist / Project Manager will work within our Environmental Services Global Practice and perform the following duties:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Prepare air permit application packages and associated documentation.</p> </li><li> <p>Conduct environmental site assessments and inspections to ensure compliance with local, state and federal air quality requirements.</p> </li><li> <p>Perform emission calculations and estimates for routine emissions, as well as greenhouse gas and maintenance, start-up and shutdown emissions.</p> </li><li> <p>Work with client and team members to manage projects, budgets and timelines.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist with multi-media-based questions and document preparation, such as Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPPs), Spill Prevention, Control and Countermeasure (SPCC) Plans, and filings pursuant to the Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act (EPCRA).</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure compliance with company and site safety policies.</p> </li><li> <p>All other duties as assigned.</p> </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or related Science or Engineering degree from an accredited program plus minimum 7 years (10 years preferred) of applicable experience.</p> </li><li> <p>Completion of a master's degree in a related field may be substituted for 1 year of experience.</p> </li><li> <p>Previous consulting experience related to air pollution permitting and compliance and/or multimedia environmental compliance audits, environmental management systems, and report writing preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrated knowledge of federal, state, and local air regulations with emphasis on the Clean Air Act, including New Source Review/Prevention of Significant Deterioration, National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants, New Source Performance Standards, Title V Permitting, Title VI Ozone Depleting Substances.</p> </li><li> <p>Working knowledge of air quality dispersion models such as AERMOD, AERSCREEN, CALPUFF, VISCREEN, PLUVUE and SLAB, is a plus.</p> </li><li> <p>Sustainability background is a plus.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to clearly communicate both verbal and written technical information.</p> </li><li> <p>Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow complex requests.</p> </li><li> <p>Must be proficient in the use of computer software (i.e., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint).</p> </li></ul> <p>This job posting will remain open a minimum of 72 hours and on an ongoing basis until filled.</p> <p>EEO/Disabled/Veterans</p> <p>Job Project Management</p> <p>Primary Location US-NC-Raleigh</p> <p>Other Locations US-VA-Richmond, US-SC-Greenville</p> <p>Schedule: Full-time</p> <p>Travel: Yes, 25 % of the Time</p> <p>Req ID: 243027</p> <p>Job Hire Type Experienced #LI-JJ #ENS</p>
