<p>Summary:</p> <p>Caracas Construction is seeking a Heavy/Highway Equipment Operator to run heavy construction equipment on its' roadway construction sites. The operator will run a variety of equipment through the course of a project, including, but not limited to: rubber tired excavators, track excavators, loaders, skidsteers, backhoes, rollers, and graders. Operators must be safety conscious, quick thinking, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.</p> <p>Type of Work:</p> <p>Trenching and backfilling for Water Pipes, Sewer Pipes, Drain Pipes. Excavation and grading for sidewalks, curbs, roadways.</p> <p>Reports To:</p> <p>Foreman and Site Superintendent</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Safely and efficiently operate heavy equipment to achieve production goals. </li><li>Work in conjunction with laborers to accomplish tasks. </li><li>Able to understand and work within the boundaries of a roadway traffic setup. </li><li>Ensure equipment is kept clean and properly lubricated. </li><li>Excavating and grading roadway and sidewalks. </li><li>Trenching and backfilling for pipeline installation. </li><li>Handling, placing, and removing heavy objects such as concrete structures, trench boxes, and steel plates. </li><li>Ability to operate with various attachments, including hammers, rammers, and various buckets. </li></ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>3+ years of relevant experience running heavy equipment on construction sites </li><li>2A Hoisting Engineer License </li><li>OSHA 10 Certification </li><li>DOT Physical </li><li>US Work Authorization </li><li>US Valid Drivers License </li></ul>
