The role supports the Credit Card product line where you will help define, design and drive market leading features and capabilities to support the largest US Credit Card issuer.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Represents a product family of technical governance bodies </li><li>Provides feedback and proposes improvements to data governance practices </li><li>Provides data architectural & modeling documentation for both application specific design as well as multiple application/multiple product space designs based on business and technology inputs, firm standards and risk management needs </li><li>Involves translating business requirements into data structures, ensuring data accuracy, and optimizing data warehousing for efficient querying </li><li>Drives decisions that influence product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes </li><li>Serves as a function-wide subject matter expert in one or more areas of focus </li><li>Influences peers and project decision-makers to consider the use and application of leading-edge technologies </li><li>Adds to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or related discipline </li><li>6+ years of Senior Hands-on, Analytical Data Engineers with strong communication skills that understand consumption pain points </li><li>Solid Erwin experience </li><li>Logical & Physical Modeling, Star Scheme, Dimensional & Relational Data Models </li><li>Experience with Multiple Data Bases, 2 minimum - environment is AWS & On-Prem - Oracle, PostgreSQL, NoSQL, DB2, SQL Server, Snowflake </li><li>Experience with P & L Models (Profit & Loss) is key </li><li>Experience in Credit Card industry, E-Commerce/Transactional Project/Domain, Tokenization, Encryption, etc., big pluses </li><li>Practical cloud native experience </li><li>Familiar with PCI and Industry standard security patterns, such as Tokenization, Encryption, etc. </li><li>Python, ETL Tools/Process, Data Dashboard consumption, Data Pipelines in a Lake </li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with diverse teams </li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for identifying and resolving data-related issues </li><li>Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight </li><li>Ability to evaluate current and emerging technologies to select or recommend the best solutions for future state architecture </li><li>Experience managing design considerations and priorities across multiple stakeholders is highly desirable </li></ul>
