Category Manufacturing Description</p> <p>The Surface Mount Technology (SMT) Operator is responsible for the setup, operation, maintenance, and repair of the SMT machinery.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.</p> <ul> <li>Setup and operate the SMT Oven, Paste Machine, and Component Placement equipment. </li><li>Perform Fine Pitch inspection. </li><li>Perform changeovers, which includes selecting the correct program to run and placing or changing component reels in the required location. </li><li>Verify that first board runs, after a new setup, meet quality requirements. </li><li>Perform basic trouble shooting of equipment. </li><li>Perform preventative maintenance on equipment. </li><li>Has the responsibility and authority to bring attention to a problem that would compromise the quality of parts or the safety of employees. </li><li>Works well with others. </li><li>Has a positive attitude. </li><li>Has a strong attention to detail. </li></ul> <p>Position Requirements</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS</p> <p>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to enter production information in Epicor system. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one discussions with supervisor and co-workers.</p> <p>MATHEMATICAL SKILLS</p> <p>Ability to add and subtract multi-digit numbers.</p> <p>REASONING ABILITY</p> <p>Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written and oral form. Ability to communicate complex issues in a concise, understandable, and interesting way.</p> <p>OTHER QUALIFICATIONS</p> <p>The ability to use small hand tools and power screw guns.
