Caregivers in Euclid Hospital's ED provide care to all patient populations and work collaboratively to make each patient's visit as comfortable and stress-free as possible. Euclid Hospital's ED is focused on employee engagement, teamwork and caregiver collaboration. From the unit-based ED Council which guides clinical practice to the hospital-based Shared Governance teams that implement the latest evidence and innovation to enterprise-wide education and training options, the opportunities for growth and development are endless.</p> <p>As a Clinical Technician, you will assist with basic patient care, maintain room cleanliness and demonstrate empathy and compassion in all activities and interactions. This position offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience, enhance your skills, and pursue career growth within the Cleveland Clinic. Eligible caregivers may also benefit from tuition reimbursement, all while contributing to excellent patient care and engaging with a diverse patient population.</p> <p>A caregiver in this position works nights from 11:00 p.m. - 7:30 a.m. with every other weekend and holiday rotation requirements.</p> <p>A caregiver who excels in this role will:</p> <ul> <li>Provide or assist with patient care under the supervision of an RN, such as taking vital signs and weight, assisting patients with personal care, point of care testing, dressing changes, applying external monitoring devices and removing urinary Foley Catheters. </li><li>Report abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to an RN. </li><li>Assist with keeping patients' rooms clean and orderly. </li></ul> <p>Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma/GED </li><li>Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) OR the American Red Cross upon or within new hire period <em>Nursing students required to obtain prior to hire</em> </li><li>One year of recent, full-time patient care experience OR nursing student with at least one completed clinical rotation as part of an accredited Nursing School Program OR military experience as a Hospital Corpsman (HM), Combat Medic (68W) or Medical Service Technician (4N0X1) OR additional education/training (e.g., mental health) </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Requires full body motion to move and lift patients, manual finger dexterity with good eye-hand coordination; involves extensive standing and walking. </li><li>Medium Work - Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force rarely, and/or 0 to 50 pounds of force occasionally to move objects. </li><li>Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Medium Work. </li></ul> <p>Personal Protective Equipment:</p> <ul> <li>Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required. </li></ul> <p>Pay Range</p> <p>Minimum hourly: $19.25</p> <p>Maximum hourly: $25.95</p> <p>The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. A successful candidate's actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate's work history, experience, skill set and education. The pay range displayed does not include any applicable pay practices (e.g., shift differentials, overtime, etc.). The pay range does not include the value of Cleveland Clinic's benefits package (e.g., healthcare, dental and vision benefits, retirement savings account contributions, etc.).</p>
