This clerical position will have an impact on department operations by completing clerical tasks in a timely and efficient manner.</p> <p>Job Description:</p> <p>JOB FUNCTIONS</p> <p>As part of the practice team, this position: Performs a variety of clerical duties as outlined by clear guidance and policies and procedures, which may include functions such as:</p> <ul> <li>Referencing data from a database or computer system and documenting and/or communicating as appropriate </li><li>Collecting specific information from patients and others </li><li>Sorting and distributing mail </li><li>Sorting and filing records and files </li><li>Scanning and faxing documents </li><li>Coping and collating materials </li><li>Pulling records and files </li><li>Inputting specific data in limited fields </li><li>Cleaning out and organizing storage areas and filing cabinets </li><li>Packing files and documenting contents for long term storage </li><li>Providing back up phone coverage, answering the phone in a polite and courteous manner, directing calls as appropriate and answering basic, repetitive questions </li></ul> <p>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <p>Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.</p> <p>Experience: Clerical experience preferred.</p> <p>Other Skills/Knowledge</p> <ul> <li>If expected to interact with people and/or answer the phones, for safety and quality reasons, must be able to read, write and communicate effectively in English with patients, visitors and fellow members of the hospital team, required. </li><li>Familiarity with alphabetical filing systems preferred </li><li>Familiarity with office equipment preferred </li></ul> <p>LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS, CERTIFICATIONS: N/A</p> <p>LIFE SUPPORT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED: N/A</p> <p>POPULATION SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS: N/A</p> <p>OTHER JOB REQUIREMENTS:</p> <ul> <li>On-call Requirement: N/A </li><li>Schedule Requirements: Based on business needs. </li><li>Travel Requirements: Work location may vary based on business needs. </li></ul> <p>REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:</p> <ul> <li>Reporting structure depends on the size and organizational structure of the practice. </li></ul> <p>o WMA Woburn - Practice Operations Manager</p> <p>o WMA Wilmington - Practice Supervisor</p> <ul> <li>Does not supervise others. </li></ul> <p>As a health care organization, we have a responsibility to do everything in our power to care for and protect our patients, our colleagues and our communities.
