<p>Ideal candidates must be able and flexible to work one of the assigned shifts:</p> <p>Coating B Shift: 6pm-6am M-W every other Thursday</p> <p>Coating C Shift: 6am-6pm Fri-Sun every other Thursday</p> <p>Coating D Shift: 6pm-6am Fri-Sun every other Thursday</p> <p>Finishing 2nd Shift: 2pm-10pm M-F</p> <p>Finishing 3rd Shift: 10pm-6am M-F</p> <p>Shipping 2nd Shift: 2pm-10pm</p> <p>Shipping 3rd Shift: 10pm-6am</p> <p>Job Summary</p> <p>The Production Operator is responsible for leading machine set-ups and changeovers, problem-solving, making decisions on machine adjustments, and inspecting and packaging finished products to customer specifications. In addition, the production operator will be responsible for operating various coating, finishing, and/or powered industrial vehicles to move inbound and outbound products.</p> <p>Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <p>Essential functions may include, but are not limited to:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Perform routine set-up and changeover of machines, making adjustments as needed to process operations accordingly.</p> </li><li> <p>Run orders per product specifications and standard practices. This may include sorting, labeling, and packaging products per customer specifications, quality requirements, and standard practices</p> </li><li> <p>Perform tests and check products routinely for multiple characteristics using standard measuring tools, tape measures, etc.</p> </li><li> <p>Understand and implement quality standards and procedures</p> </li><li> <p>Meet production schedules and program production sequences for optimal productivity.</p> </li><li> <p>Follow standard operating procedures and specifications or instructions of higher-level technical personnel and monitor meters, gauges, valves, flow ratios, temperatures, pressures, and related controls and guidelines to ensure adherence to production/process specifications.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain production records and logs of equipment and product performance.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain the work area with necessary supplies to complete processes</p> </li><li> <p>Operate heavy equipment to move, load, and ship material and/or finished products throughout the manufacturing environment.</p> </li><li> <p>Support inventory accuracy by completing cycle counts and correcting discrepancies to achieve business goals.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist and support other team members in meeting department and site goals. Participate and share in performing all tasks necessary to run the facility.</p> </li><li> <p>Contribute and participate in team decision-making processes including problem solving and continuous improvement efforts. Provide support in project work and other special requests.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner</p> </li><li> <p>High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) or 3+ years of relevant manufacturing work experience</p> </li><li> <p>Must be able to follow written and oral instruction</p> </li><li> <p>Must prioritize safety in every aspect of the working environment adhering to established safety practices, policies, and procedures</p> </li><li> <p>Must be able and willing to work overtime, including short-notice requests</p> </li><li> <p>Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds, stand, and move around for extended periods</p> </li></ul> <p>Additional Consideration:</p> <ul> <li>Safety: We prioritize the safety of all our employees.
