The Department of Family and Consumer Sciences welcomes qualified applicants to apply for this meaningful and rewarding role at the university.</p> <p>Description of Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <p>Plan, prepare, and present lessons, activities, and materials that are appropriate for 4-year-old children.</p> <p>Assist children at mealtime, with toileting, and other personal habits.</p> <p>Maintain an attractive and well-organized classroom.</p> <p>Organize and monitor outdoor classroom activities.</p> <p>Develop teacher-made materials, and create and keep bulletin boards current.</p> <p>Maintain records and report children's progress to parents.</p> <p>Maintain classroom decorum. Communicate and monitor classroom procedures.</p> <p>Demonstrate ethical and professional principles.</p> <p>Attend parent teacher meetings, graduation, and other events as requested by the Director.</p> <p>Perform duties assigned by the Director, Department Chairperson, Dean, and/or President of SC State University.</p> <p>Minimum Requirements for Entry into Position:</p> <p>Bachelor's Degree in Child Development or Early Childhood Education</p> <p>Preferred Requirements for Entry into Position:</p> <p>Successfully pass FBI and SLED Background Check.
