<p>Plumbing & Fire Protection Engineer</p> <p>Description</p> <ul> <li>Design, engineer, and oversee the installation of plumbing and fire protection systems for commercial, institutional, industrial, and government facilities, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards. </li><li>Conduct field surveys and assessments to evaluate existing plumbing and fire protection systems. </li><li>Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other project stakeholders to develop design specifications and ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and client expectations. </li><li>Prepare technical specifications, new work plans, demolition plans, riser diagrams, schedules, and details using software tools such as AutoCAD and Revit. </li><li>Perform design calculations to ensure system performance and accuracy. </li><li>Review project budgets and timelines and recommend alternatives for implementation based on cost-effectiveness and feasibility studies. </li><li>Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and other team members. </li><li>Conduct on-site inspections and oversee the construction of plumbing and fire protection systems, verifying compliance with engineering standards and practices. </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered. </li><li>5-7 years of professional experience in an engineering. </li><li>Understanding of Construction Documents, particularly MEP/FP drawings and specifications. </li><li>Understanding of building systems and how they integrate (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection). </li><li>Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit. </li><li>Experience with Bluebeam. </li><li>Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools (Teams, SharePoint, Excel, Outlook, Word). </li></ul> <p>Experience Level</p> <p>Intermediate Level</p> <p>Job Type & Location</p> <p>This is a Permanent position based out of Warwick, RI.</p> <p>Pay and Benefits</p> <p>The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $90000.00/yr.</p> <p>Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
