<p>Wareham Public Schools seeks a Director for the Office of Beyond School Time and will serve as the Principal of Wareham Cooperative Alternative School.</p> <p>The Office of Beyond School Time aims to provide students with extended learning opportunities through various programs. These programs, often funded by grants like 21st CCLC, focus on enriching students' lives beyond the traditional school day, offering opportunities for academic enrichment, social-emotional development, and community and family engagement:</p> <p>GRANTS: The Director will implement and manage various grant programs such as 21st CCLC, CFCE, CPPI, ASOST, and Title I to fund and support the office's programs and initiatives.</p> <p>CARE (Community Academic and Recreational Education) K-7, and SAIL (Student Achievement, Innovation, and Leadership) 8-12: The Director will implement and oversee each program session (fall/spring/summer) and staff (coordinators, certified teachers, educational instructors, paraprofessionals, interns, and support personnel) for the 21st Century Community Learning Center, a federally funded beyond school time program supporting student learning and growth by providing academic support and enrichment activities.</p> <p>CFCE - Coordinated Family and Community Engagement The Director manages and oversees the Coordinated Family and Community Engagement grant implementing resources such as literacy nights, playgroups and STEM activities for children aged birth-age 8. The Director also oversees the Parent Child Home Program which provides home visits twice a week for 23 weeks to 20 eligible families in Wareham and 2 Center based day-cares. The Director also implements and oversees community support to non-traditional caretakers, monthly community cafes, and a teen mom support group.</p> <p>WCAS (WAREHAM COOPERATIVE ALTERNATIVE SCHOOL) The Director of Beyond School Time is the Principal of the WCAS, for students who wish to complete their high school education and receive a full high school diploma from the Wareham Public Schools. Students who choose to enroll in the Pathways to Academic Student Success program (PASS) in an evening competency-based program that operates with the same high academic expectations as a day school.</p>
