As a result we receive a high volume of walk-in traffic. Part of this job would be managing the front office and directing all of the walk-in flow during the day. Additionally, we welcome visitors, including parents and high school students who are interested in UW and what it offers!</p> <p>Job location: Knight Hall 222</p> <p>Pay rate or range: $14.00</p> <p>JOB PURPOSE:</p> <ul> <li>Provide support for Advising and Career Services office with varied main office support. </li></ul> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Welcome students, staff, faculty, and visitors to the ACES office. </li><li>Answer phones, schedule appointments and assist UW students. </li><li>Ask appropriate questions to determine how best to refer directly serve students or refer to appropriate college advising centers and/or related academic and student affairs departments. </li><li>Provide basic office support including filing, shredding, making copies, and providing quality customer service. </li></ul> <p>JFNTMP</p> <p>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Experience working in office setting </li><li>Ability to navigate the UW website to answer any outstanding questions </li><li>Demonstrate an understanding of Microsoft Office, Outlook Calendars, and phone etiquette </li><li>Ability to be trained in Navigate360 advising platform </li></ul> <p>Must be eligible, have received and accepted work study award through Student Financial Aid for the applicable semester and/or academic year.</p> <p>DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>A welcoming and interested personality, ready to work with the UW community. </li></ul> <p>EDUCATIONAL BENEFITS APPLICABLE TO CAREERS:</p> <ul> <li>This position contributes to the improvement of the quality of life for Laramie area students. </li><li>This position helps address specific problems or needs within the community </li><li>Want to get your foot in the door in an office-based setting?
