<p>Pay: $18 per hour</p> <p>Part-Time Position</p> <p>Position Overview:</p> <p>The 740 Rescue Kitchen is seeking a motivated, reliable, and community-minded</p> <p>individual to join our team as a Donations Logistics Assistant. This critical role</p> <p>supports the heart of our mission - rescuing surplus food and delivering nourishing</p> <p>meals to those in need - by managing donation logistics, coordinating volunteer</p> <p>support, and ensuring smooth and timely transport of food across our service region.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <p>Schedule and coordinate the pickup of donated goods and delivery of prepared</p> <p>meals.</p> <p>Drive a refrigerated van and/or box truck across a 10-county area (up to 1 hour</p> <p>one way).</p> <p>Load, unload, and organize pallets of food and other donations into cold storage</p> <p>and kitchen areas.</p> <p>Schedule and support volunteers assisting with donation-related logistics.</p> <p>Maintain regular communication with the Director to accommodate additional</p> <p>pickups, special deliveries, and evolving needs.</p> <p>Assist with general kitchen and storage support as needed.</p> <p>Ensure safe food handling and transport procedures are followed.</p> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <p>Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.</p> <p>Frequent bending, squatting, pulling, pushing, and climbing in and out of</p> <p>vehicles.</p> <p>Indoor and outdoor work in all weather conditions.</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <p>Clean driving record and valid driver's license (CDL not required).</p> <p>Must be familiar with driving a large box truck and van and operating a lift gate</p> <p>and pallet jack</p> <p>Background check required prior to hire.</p> <p>Positive attitude and commitment to serving the community.</p> <p>Strong interpersonal skills - enjoys working with people and has a cheerful,</p> <p>team-oriented disposition.</p> <p>Dependable, organized, and proactive.</p> <p>Experience with logistics, delivery, or food handling is a plus but not required -</p> <p>we're willing to train the right person.</p> <p>Why Join Us?</p> <p>Working at the 740 Rescue Kitchen at Hocking College means being part of a mission-</p> <p>driven team making a real impact on food insecurity, waste reduction, and community</p> <p>wellbeing.
