Click here to learn more about benefits and the total rewards at OSF.</p> <p>EXPECTED PAY:</p> <ul> <li>Surgical Technologist I: $27.25-38.48/hour </li><li>Surgical Technologist II: $27.25-38.48/hour (with a 3% range adjustment) </li></ul> <p>This is an hourly position. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills, and internal equity.</p> <p>Shift Differentials:</p> <ul> <li>2nd shift - $3.00/hour </li><li>3rd shift - $4.00/hour </li><li>Weekend - $2.50/hour </li><li>On Call - $3.00/hour while on call (time-and-a-half of base rate if called in) </li></ul> <p>Overview</p> <p>$13,500 Sign-On Bonus</p> <p>POSITION SUMMARY: The Surgical Tech role provides basic care for patients across the life span. Performs duties of scrub person throughout the intra-operative phase of care. Recognizes significant conditions and reactions and notifies the appropriate patient care team.</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <p>Surgical Technologist I:</p> <ul> <li>Education: High School Diploma or GED; requires completion of a Surgical Tech program with the ability to sit for certification OR 2 years minimum working in a Surgical Tech role. </li><li>Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a Surgical Technologist/Technician role if completion of a Surgical tech program has not been completed. </li><li>Licensure/Certification: American Heart Association CPR (BLS) </li><li>Other Skills/Knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented. Requires intra-operative orientation to learn department/unit policies, procedures and work routines; to develop competency in the use of medical equipment and instruments used in the procedure/operating room; to learn quality/safety standards; and to gain an understanding of the various types of surgical procedures within their service line. </li></ul> <p>Surgical Technologist II:</p> <ul> <li>Education: High School Diploma or GED; requires completion of a Surgical Tech program and Surgical Technologist Certification with a minimum of 3 years working in a Surgical Tech role OR minimum 5 years working in a Surgical Tech role. </li><li>Experience: Minimum of 3 years in Surgical Technologist role if certified. Minimum of 5 years in Surgical Technologist role if not certified. </li><li>Licensure/Certification: American Heart Association CPR (BLS), Surgical Technologist Certification or 5 years or more in a Surgical Technologist role. </li></ul> <p>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <p>Surgical Technologist I & II:</p> <ul> <li>Licensure/Certification: Certification in Surgical Technology </li></ul> <p>OSF HealthCare is an Equal Opportunity Employer.</p>
