<p>SUMMARY OF POSITION:</p> <p>The Utility Technician is responsible for performing a variety of tasks throughout the Metal Paintline. This position must be able to provide a wide range of total preventative services focused on cleaning, inspecting, and replacing components to ensure operational and system efficiency and continuity.</p> <p>PELLA CORPORATION REQUIREMENTS:</p> <ul> <li>Pass pre-employment tests </li><li>Work in a team environment with the ability to communicate in a concise, polite and respectful manner </li></ul> <p>ENVIRONMENT:</p> <ul> <li>Moderate noise </li><li>High/Low temperature </li><li>Confined space </li><li>Work in elevated or high spaces </li><li>Able to work with and around moving equipment </li></ul> <p>ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Comply with safety, quality, and production requirements and procedures </li><li>Regular/dependable attendance required </li><li>Flexibility of work hours including overtime </li><li>Maintain paint equipment such as changing filters, cleaning and replacing nozzles, washing and draining tanks </li><li>Perform viscosity checks and water tests </li><li>Completed preventative maintenance tasks such as cleaning overspray from booths and floors, checking filters for proper airflow, inspecting system for lubrication needs, safety checks, and documenting findings to monitor wear and tear </li></ul> <p>ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to rotate to other positions as needed </li><li>Other duties may be assigned </li></ul> <p>EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:</p> <ul> <li>Manufacturing-related experience is required </li><li>Strong mechanical aptititude preferred </li><li>Strong understanding of maintenance procedures </li></ul> <p>SKILLS AND TALENTS:</p> <ul> <li>Able to work with minimal supervision </li><li>Decision making/problem solving skills </li><li>Troubleshooting </li><li>Adaptability </li></ul> <p>PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:</p> <ul> <li>Lift up to 100 lbs. at waist level and up to 70 lbs. at shoulder level up to an occasional basis when moving products </li><li>Push or pull with up to 100 lbs. of force up to an occasional basis when moving products </li><li>Display average coordination with both hands up to a continuous basis while performing job tasks </li><li>Perform elevated work up to an occasional basis when handling products </li><li>Stoop, kneel or squat up to an occasional basis when handling products </li><li>Reach forward and to the side up to a frequent basis when handling products </li><li>Stand up to a continuous basis and walk up to a frequent basis during the course of each shift </li><li>Able to perform repetitive tasks up to 12 hours per day </li></ul> <p>Schedule: Monday - Friday; 3:00pm - 11:30pm</p>
