<p>What You'll Be Doing</p> <p>Wake County Information Technology is seeking an inquisitive Data Analyst to join our Data and Analytics team. This role will leverage data to drive informed decision-making, deliver actionable insights and support strategic planning across County departments.</p> <p>Working under the direction of the Chief Data Officer, you will partner with departments to align data strategy with business goals, develop Power BI reports and dashboards, support enterprise data management efforts and mentor users through our aWake (Analytics at Wake County) community.</p> <p>This position is ideal for a collaborative, curious professional passionate about using data to drive meaningful impact across the organization.</p> <p>Primary responsibilities include:</p> <ul> <li>Develop and publish Power BI reports, dashboards and other data-driven reports </li><li>Work closely with the departmental business analysts and subject matter experts to understand the requirements and translate that into a reporting solution </li><li>Provide clear, insightful interpretation of available data </li><li>Follow established guidelines and best practices for analytics development and data quality </li><li>Assist with user testing and troubleshooting </li><li>Recommend and create visualizations based on analytics best practices </li></ul> <p>About Our Team</p> <p>Wake County Information Technology is in the heart of Raleigh's booming downtown, a part of the Research Triangle area. If you thrive in a highly collaborative, fast-paced, supportive environment, then you owe it to yourself to check us out.</p> <p>The Basics (Required Education and Experience)</p> <ul> <li>Associates degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering or a related field </li><li>Three years of experience in data science and analytics </li><li>Five years of experience in data science or analytics may be substituted for the combined education and experience requirements </li><li>Equivalent education and experience are accepted </li><li>Please include ALL prior work experience on your application and resume. </li></ul> <p>Beyond the Basics (Preferred Education and Experience)</p> <ul> <li>Associates degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering or a related field.
