Serves as a clinical role model and resource to staff. Assures the on-going educational development of all unit employees and performs management duties as assigned by unit leadership. Participates in departmental and hospital wide performance improvement initiatives. </li><li>Serves as a clinical and management resource for decision making, problem solving, and employee performance reviews on the rehabilitation unit. Acts as liaison between staff, physicians, and management. Also performs direct patient care. </li></ul> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <p>Key customers are patients, families, staff, all ancillary/support people, physicians, peers, all other departments, and staff. Assures friendly, helpful, and courteous response to all customers.</p> <p>Other information:</p> <p>EDUCATION</p> <ul> <li>Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing; BSN preferred. </li></ul> <p>EXPERIENCE</p> <ul> <li>Two years relevant RN experience; Charge Nurse/Preceptor experience preferred. </li></ul> <p>LICENSURE/REGISTRATION/CERTIFICATION</p> <ul> <li>Current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of North Carolina and BLS certification required. </li></ul> <p>OTHER SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul> <li>Results oriented and willingness to perform specific duties </li><li>Good public relations, teambuilding and problem-solving skills </li><li>Sound clinical knowledge/practice </li><li>Basic computer knowledge </li></ul> <p>WORK ENVIRONMENT</p> <ul> <li>Possible exposure to bloodborne pathogens and airborne pathogens </li><li>Possible exposure to electrical hazards, chemical hazards, radiation, toxic waste </li><li>Occasional exposure to conditions such as fumes, noxious odors, dust, mists, gases, or poor ventilation </li><li>Continuous use of medical/clinical equipment such as IV pumps, monitors, ventilators, oxygen tanks, patient beds, etc. </li></ul> <p>PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS</p> <ul> <li>Standing, bending, walking, and stooping frequently </li><li>Talking, hearing, visual acuity essential </li><li>Sufficiently mobile to push stretchers, wheelchairs, carts, and equipment </li><li>Lifts and position patients of all weights and heights </li></ul> <p>Job Details</p> <p>Legal Employer: Lenoir Health</p> <p>Entity: UNC Lenoir Health Care</p> <p>Organization Unit: Ip Rehab Facility</p> <p>Work Type: Full Time</p> <p>Standard Hours Per Week: 40.00</p> <p>Salary Range: $34.73 - $43.41 per hour (Minimum to Midpoint )</p> <p>Pay offers are determined by experience and internal equity</p> <p>Work Assignment Type: Onsite</p> <p>Work Schedule: Night Job</p> <p>Location of Job: US:NC:Kinston</p> <p>Exempt From Overtime: Exempt: No</p>
