<p>Job Requirements</p> <p>POSITION SUMMARY:</p> <p>To be fully engaged in providing Quality/No Harm, Customer Experience, Stewardship, and Teamwork by</p> <p>contributing to outstanding quality, values, and service to the customer. Pharmacy Cashiers are expected</p> <p>to perform with responsibility, accuracy, accountability, efficiency and courtesy.</p> <p>PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES:</p> <p>Quality/No Harm:</p> <p>Maintains appearance and organization of work area, waiting bin, mail room, and will-call area</p> <p>Follows pharmacy policies and procedures while performing all assigned tasks</p> <p>Presents the "offer to counsel" to each customer at time of register transaction</p> <p>Prepares packaging for mail order and courier prescriptions for safe and accurate</p> <p>shipment/delivery</p> <p>Ensures packaging for mail order, pick-up, and courier prescriptions are safe/secure and appears</p> <p>professional</p> <p>Reviews each medication with the customer at the register to ensure that the order is complete</p> <p>and correct inside the bag</p> <p>Assists each customer and involves supervisor/director if a concern that should be addressed by</p> <p>leadership has been presented</p> <p>Runs a daily report of "ready" prescriptions, pulls the 14-day prescriptions from the bin, places</p> <p>phone calls to customers with 7 day old prescriptions</p> <p>Calls customers with pending prescription concerns that need to be mailed or couriered (pending</p> <p>concerns include invalid credit card numbers and checks that need to be mailed to us)</p> <p>Unpacks weekly supply orders and stocks items appropriately</p> <p>Customer Experience:</p> <p>Assures that all customers are waited on in a courteous and efficient manner</p> <p>Communicate and perform in a friendly, tactful and professional way at all times</p> <p>Set example as a team player</p> <p>Greets and addresses recurring customers by first and last name</p> <p>Stewardship:</p> <p>Charges mail order and courier prescriptions out through pharmacy software</p> <p>Counts register contents upon open and close of business day</p> <p>Remains within standard of 0.005 times the amount of sales to determine the overage and</p> <p>shortage of the cashier drawer. (Example sales $1000.00, $1000.00 x 0.005= $5.00)</p> <p>Closes register upon end of business day, to include: drawer declaration and reconciliation</p> <p>Work Experience</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:</p> <p>Must have a High School Diploma or a GED</p> <p>Excellent communication skills and ability to successfully interact with customers and associates</p> <p>Two years of cashier experience</p> <p>Good organizational skills and the ability to work independently</p> <p>PHYSICAL DEMANDS:</p> <p>Ability to stand for eight hours.</p> <p>Ability to lift up to thirty pounds.</p> <p>Repetitive use of hands and fingers.
