<p>The IT Technician - Summer Assistant will provide technical support, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, assist with IT projects, and potentially learn about different IT systems and processes. This is a temporary position.</p> <p>Job Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Provide Technical Support: Answer user questions, troubleshoot hardware and software problems, and assist with basic IT tasks. </li><li>Hardware and Software Support: Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware and software, including operating systems, applications, and peripherals. </li><li>IT Projects: Assist with IT projects, such as software upgrades, hardware deployments, or network configurations. </li><li>Inventory Management: Help maintain accurate records of IT assets, including hardware and software. </li><li>Documentation: Document IT procedures, troubleshooting steps, and system configurations. </li><li>Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to users, both internal and external. </li><li>Learning and Development: Gain practical experience in various IT areas, such as networking, software, or hardware. </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent is required. </li><li>Working towards an associate's degree in Information Technology or a related field; Bachelor's degree is preferred. </li><li>Some experience with IT support or related fields is a plus. </li><li>Microsoft, A+, and/or Network+ certifications are a plus. </li><li>Basic knowledge of computer hardware and software. </li><li>Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, macOS, etc.). </li><li>Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. </li><li>Good communication and customer service skills. </li><li>Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions. </li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team. </li></ul> <p>Supervisory Responsibilities</p> <p>None</p> <p>Travel</p> <p>None</p>
