For more information contact the Human Resources Recruitment office at 361-826-3300 to obtain Form SSA-1945 Windfall Elimination Provision.</p> <p>Grade: 208</p> <p>Salary: $21.77 Hourly</p> <p>Department: Finance</p> <p>Status: Temporary</p> <p>E-mail: JenniferBe@cctexas.com</p> <p>ATTENDANCE REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION ARE AS FOLLOWS: Non-rotating 40 hour work week, Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. Must be available to work additional hours as needed.</p> <p>Who May Apply?</p> <p>All persons legally authorized to work in the United States</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Maintain governmental and proprietary funds and related budgets including reconciliations; funds include Operating funds, Special Revenue funds, Fiduciary funds and others as assigned. </li><li>Prepare journal entries including year end and adjusting entries. </li><li>Prepare reports, schedules, and audit workpapers for internal and external reporting. </li><li>Requires ability to analyze and reconcile large amounts of data using multiple resources including query in different software applications, Excel and Access. Must be able to come up with logic and methods to do this analysis efficiently. </li><li>Requires ability to research past financial transactions, ability to prepare workpapers that present information clearly and logically, ability to design new business processes and new reconciliation methods as computer systems and circumstances changes. </li><li>Review and reconcile invoices from and to City contractors; ensure Grant funding sources are used properly. </li><li>May be asked to perform other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Requires Bachelor's Degree </li><li>Minimum of three (3) year of experience </li><li>A valid driver's license is required. Successful out of state candidates must be able to obtain a valid Texas driver's license within 90 days of hire </li></ul> <p>Other Information:</p> <p>Closing Statement</p> <ul> <li>Selected applicants must be able to pass a background investigation and a pre-employment drug test. </li><li>Any position that lists a minimum qualification for education level and/or license/certification will require the applicant to provide proof of documentation if selected for hire into the position with the City of Corpus Christi. </li><li>This position is classified as "Safety Sensitive".
