<p>Job Description:</p> <p>Adult High School Credit Diploma Teacher: Science (Job ID 1149)</p> <p>Reports to: Director of Adult Education</p> <p>Part-time position, two evenings per week (Monday and Wednesday), either 5:00-7:00 PM or 7:15-9:15 PM, following the academic calendar.?</p> <p>Non-Exempt</p> <p>Watertown High School, 324 French St., Watertown, CT</p> <p>Pay Rate: $32.45/hour, plus 45 minutes of paid planning per class</p> <p>Position is open until filled / Anticipated start date is August 15, 2025</p> <p>Job Description: EdAdvance is seeking a qualified instructor to teach a High School Credit Diploma Program Science course for adult learners.</p> <p>Major Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Plan and deliver science instruction-either in person or online using Google Classroom-based on an agreed-upon curriculum (e.g., Environmental Science, Earth Science, Meteorology, Anatomy, Forensics, or other subjects as determined by the teacher, Director, and student credit needs). </li><li>Maintain a positive and supportive learning environment </li></ul> <p>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to differentiate instruction </li><li>Develop engaging and interactive lessons </li><li>Use a variety of instruction strategies and activities </li><li>Promote student independence and critical and creative thinking </li><li>Sensitive to needs of adult learners </li></ul> <p>Qualifications/Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Must hold a valid Connecticut 7-12 Science certification (#030, #031, #032, #033, or #034) </li><li>Must participate in College & Career Readiness Standards (CCRS) training </li><li>Must complete all state-mandated trainings required for working with students under the age of 18 </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Must be able to perform essential functions with or without accommodations </li></ul> <p>Travel: none</p> <p>Supervises: none</p> <p>Application Procedure:</p> <p>Applications should be submitted for consideration by visiting EdAdvance's employment page at, http://edadvance.org/about-us/employment, and click on the APPLY button next to the job posting of interest.</p> <p>Human Resources</p> <p>EdAdvance</p> <p>P.O.
