<p>Systems Administrator</p> <p>Department: Information Technology</p> <p>Employment Type: Full Time</p> <p>Location: Cumberland, RI</p> <p>Description</p> <p>The Systems Administrator is responsible for the reliability, security, and day-to-day operation of the company's IT infrastructure. This role owns core systems including servers, identity, cloud infrastructure, Microsoft 365, networking, and endpoint management. The ideal candidate is hands-on, security-minded, and comfortable troubleshooting complex issues independently in a mixed on-prem and cloud environment.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Administer and maintain Windows Server environments (on-prem and Azure) </li><li>Manage Microsoft 365 services including Exchange, Entra ID (Azure AD), Teams, and Intune </li><li>Provision and manage user accounts, permissions, groups, and access controls </li><li>Monitor system performance, availability, and security </li><li>Manage backups, disaster recovery, and business continuity processes </li><li>Administer network services including firewalls, VPNs, LAN/WAN, and site-to-site connectivity </li><li>Patch, update, and harden systems according to best practices </li><li>Troubleshoot outages and complex technical issues across systems and networks </li><li>Work with vendors and ISPs while owning resolution and follow-through </li><li>Maintain accurate system documentation and diagrams </li><li>Support IT projects such as infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and security initiatives </li><li>Assist with endpoint management and escalation support when needed </li></ul> <p>Skills, Knowledge and Expertise</p> <ul> <li>3+ years experience as a Systems Administrator or similar role </li><li>Strong Windows Server administration experience </li><li>Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, routing, VPNs) </li><li>Experience with Microsoft 365 administration </li><li>Familiarity with Azure or other cloud platforms </li><li>Experience implementing security controls, backups, and recovery </li><li>Ability to troubleshoot issues independently and methodically </li><li>Strong documentation and communication skills </li></ul> <p>Preferred Technical Experiences:</p> <ul> <li>Azure infrastructure administration (VMs, networking, RBAC) </li><li>Intune / endpoint management </li><li>VMware or Hyper-V </li><li>Linux administration </li><li>Scripting or automation (PowerShell preferred) </li><li>Experience supporting multiple sites or remote offices </li></ul> <p>Benefits</p> <ul> <li>Generous Holiday Time </li><li>Medical, Vision, and Dental Benefits within first 30 days </li><li>Retirement Plans with Company Match </li><li>Employee Discount on inMusic products </li></ul>
