Continuing along it highly successful growth trajectory, SFFedCU is seeking a Senior Director of Retail Banking for our Golden Gate Branch in San Francisco.</p> <p>The Position</p> <p>The Senior Director of Retail Operations is responsible for the strategic leadership, performance, and continuous improvement of the credit union's retail delivery network, including oversight of approximately 7-10 branch locations. This role leads branch operations, sales performance, and member service delivery, ensuring a consistent, high-quality experience across all locations. The position drives growth, operational excellence, and member satisfaction while maintaining strong regulatory compliance and alignment with the credit union's mission and values.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <p>Leadership & Strategy:</p> <ul> <li>Develop and execute retail operations strategies that support organizational goals, growth, efficiency, and member experience. </li><li>Lead, mentor and develop branch managers, ensuring strong leadership at each location. </li><li>Foster a high performing, member-centric culture across all retail locations. </li></ul> <p>Operational Oversight:</p> <ul> <li>Mange and optimize daily operations across branches. </li><li>Ensure compliance with all banking regulations and internal policies. </li><li>Develop, implement, and modify retail delivery procedures to ensure efficient member service and manage risk effectively. </li><li>Lead retail operational readiness for new systems, processes, and product launches. </li></ul> <p>Training & Development:</p> <ul> <li>Proactively identify training needs and skill gaps across retail functions </li><li>Partner with internal training teams to support the implementation of targeted development initiatives that enhance team performance and service quality. </li></ul> <p>Performance Management:</p> <ul> <li>Create and monitor branch performance metrics and implement strategies for improvement. </li><li>Conduct regular assessments and audits to ensure operational efficiency. </li></ul> <p>Member Experience & Service Excellence:</p> <ul> <li>Champion initiatives and process improvements to enhance member service and satisfaction. </li><li>Ensures high quality service and sales practices which promote member satisfaction, retention and expansion. </li></ul> <p>Who Are You?</p> <p>Requirements, Skills, and Abilities</p> <ul> <li>8+ years of progressive experience in retail banking or credit union operations. </li><li>5+ years of leadership experience managing multi-branch networks, ideally within a 5-10 branch span of control. </li><li>Strong knowledge of banking regulations and compliance standards. </li><li>Ability to be well organized, team-player, motivated and flexible with working hours, able to work Saturdays, holidays and overtime as needed, maintaining attendance and punctuality. </li><li>Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills. </li><li>Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. </li><li>Proven leadership and team-building skills. </li></ul> <p>This is a 100% onsite position.</p> <p>Why You'll Love It Here</p> <p>You'll work alongside a passionate team in a mission-driven organization, get exposure to executive decision-making, and grow your skills across a broad range of functions.
