Lion's Disability Transport Service VISTA

Lion's Disability Transport Service (LDTS) mission is to provide transportation to those who deem themselves disabled and cannot access any other forms of transportation to get to where they need or want to go. LDTS is committed to professional and friendly service to those who utilize our service. LDTS is located in Cheyenne Wyoming and serves all of Laramie County. With the current transportation barrier in Laramie County Wyoming, those with disabilities are unable to access transportation to access basic needs and needed appointments. The VISTA member will assign activities that will develop and expand the LDTS dispatch system and volunteer base. The VISTA will also designate efforts internally addressing program development & delivery, financial resource development, community volunteer recruitment & public relations & outreach. Understanding the grant process and program development is a plus for the applicant. Being a VISTA member with LDTS will help reduce the social stigma and allow people with disabilities to feel more comfortable in society. Further help on this page can be found by clicking here.

Member Duties : VISTA will connect the economically disadvantaged in our community to essential services. The VISTA will develop internal documents and systems that assign volunteer recruitment and retention responsibilities to Lions' staff and volunteers, external partnership engagement activities including refining processes for data collection aimed at demonstrating successes and needs.
