<p>Founded in 1970, East Valley Community Health Center is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) whose services include providing personalized, affordable, high-quality medical, dental, vision, and behavioral health care through a community-based network within the East San Gabriel Valley and Pomona Communities. Our staff practices patient-centered care by serving each patient with a personalized care plan that meets their individual needs. Our patients have access to support services that include, nutrition, health education, case management, pharmacy, lab, and x-ray at our health center locations. East Valley serves the healthcare needs of uninsured and underserved individuals and families throughout our 8 health center locations.</p> <p>Our mission is to provide access to excellent health care while engaging and empowering our patients, employees, and partners to improve their well-being and the health of our communities.</p> <p>MAJOR POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES AND FUNCTIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Promptly answers all incoming calls, providing high-level customer support with a smile. </li><li>Provides exceptional customer service on a continual basis to enhance the callers' experience. </li><li>Assist in identifying the reason for calls and respond accordingly. </li><li>For all patient calls, confirm identify, and verify patients' current contact information including phone number and address. </li><li>Schedules, reschedules, confirms, and/or cancels appointments as requested by the patient. Makes every attempt to find an appointment that meets the patient's needs. </li><li>Record and relay messages to appropriate personnel. </li><li>Responsible for maintaining program logs, as assigned by the Clinic Manager or doctor. </li><li>Responsible for complying with HIPAA standards and observing strict patient confidentiality. </li><li>Conduct insurance verification. </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>POSITION REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent. </li><li>Excellent customer service skills. </li><li>Must possess a high level of computer skills to include, keyboarding and basic Windows and accurate data entry. </li><li>Must be proficient in Spanish to effectively communicate with customers </li><li>Exceptional patient relations and interpersonal skills required. </li><li>Ability to work well with diverse populations. </li><li>A minimum of one year of experience in a healthcare setting is required. </li></ul> <p>DOE: $21.00 -$24.80</p> <p>East Valley offers a competitive salary and excellent benefits, including medical, dental, vision, and a defined contribution retirement plan.
