<p>Job Title: Assistant Residential program Manager</p> <p>Department: Residential</p> <p>Reports To: Residential Program Manager</p> <p>FLSA Status: Salary, Exempt</p> <p>Inclusive. Innovative. Our community commits itself to being inclusive and welcoming as we put the whole person at the center of everything we do.</p> <p>Summary</p> <p>Responsible for assisting the Residential Program Manager with the oversight and management of a set number of homes where adults with developmental disabilities reside. Responsible for ensuring the needs of the individuals living in the assigned home(s) are met in all areas of service. Supports the Residential Program Manager to ensure basic systems are in place and operating successfully within the assigned residential site(s) including but not limited to medication administration, laundry, shopping, menu/meal planning, and the maintenance and safety of the home site(s). This position interfaces with staff, peers, senior management, families, neighbors, medical practitioners, and DDS service coordinators.</p> <p>Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday; 10:00 am - 6:00 pm; on call as needed.</p> <p>Essential Job Functions</p> <ul> <li>With oversight from the Residential Program Manager, assist in the recruiting, hiring, training, assigning, and evaluating the performance of the staff. </li><li>With oversight from the Residential Program Manager, responsible for homes' staff schedules, ensuring home(s) are operating per required ratios and are within budget. Manages scheduling for all staffing needs and scheduling changes, following collective bargaining agreement protocols. </li><li>Responsible for the timely input of data into AWARDS, IPS PAYCOR </li><li>Responsible for ensuring the on-call book is updated. </li><li>Works in cooperation with staff assigned to Individuals to ensure the individuals' successful participation in appropriate recreational and community activities. </li><li>Facilitates communication and relationship building for Individuals. </li><li>With oversight from the Residential Program Manager, processes all incident and accident reports and human rights issues in a timely manner according to agency policy/procedure. Ensures the human rights of individuals are safeguarded in all interventions. Serves as the Human Rights Officer for assigned homes. </li><li>With oversight from the Residential Program Manager, ensures the medical services and records meet the needs of the Individuals and conform to regulations. </li><li>With oversight from the Residential Program Manager, provides crisis intervention and emergency coverage for assigned site(s). Secures additional resources as needed, identifies and resolves problems that result in an emergency situation. Performs direct support related tasks in emergencies or as requested by supervisor. </li><li>Provides transportation for Individuals as needed. </li><li>With oversight from the Residential Program Manager, prepares site(s) and Individual records for DDS licensing and to meet the standards of quality established by the agency and funding sources. </li><li>With oversight from the Residential Program Manager, monitors assigned home(s) for safe practices. Manages the fire drill schedule for assigned homes and communicates outcomes per agency policy. </li><li>With oversight from the Residential Program Manager, responsible for weekly medication audits for assigned group homes, ensuring medication supplies are ordered as needed. </li><li>Responsible for monitoring the financial procedures and preparing the monthly reconciliation for assigned homes. </li><li>Maintains files and records for assigned homes. </li><li>With Oversight from the Residential Program Manager, acquires necessary equipment, supplies, food, and furnishings through established channels. Ensures equipment/supplies are inventoried, maintained, clean, safe, and in good repair. Communicates maintenance needs following agency procedures. </li><li>Responsible for weekly and monthly vehicle checklist and maintenance for assigned homes' vehicles. </li><li>Monitors the health, safety, and well-being of Individuals reports issues to appropriate persons, and handles emergencies according to agency and Red Cross guidelines. </li><li>Acts in a manner consistent with organizational values, program mission, and service delivery goals. Serves as a resource and role model for staff. </li><li>Familiarizes self with, abides by, and, in the absence of the manager, enforces agency, department, program policies and procedures, personnel policies, and the collective bargaining agreement. Serves as an active contributor, problem-solving member of the agency team. </li><li>Serves as Mandated Reporter as required by the Disabled Persons Protection Commission. </li><li>The position requires on-call coverage and some evening and weekend work as needed. </li><li>Position requires some local travel to accompany Individuals to doctor's appointments or for medical treatment. </li><li>Participates in house spot checks and audits as assigned. </li><li>Other duties may be assigned. </li></ul> <p>Supervisory Responsibilities</p> <p>None</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>To perform this job successfully the incumbent must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential job functions.</p> <p>Education and Experience</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a related discipline preferred. </li><li>Three years of related direct support experience </li><li>Previous experience working in a unionized workplace is highly preferred Computer Skills </li></ul> <p>Incumbent must be computer literate and have demonstrated proficiency in the use of email and the Internet. Must have advanced skills in EXCEL, WORD, and PowerPoint</p> <p>Analytical Skills</p> <p>Must have demonstrated ability to problem-solve, handle emergencies, meet deadlines and successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously.</p> <p>Language Skills</p> <p>Mastery of the English language is required as demonstrated by the ability to read and write instructions; ability to read, analyze, and interpret legal documents, field journals, financial reports, technical procedures, policy/procedure manuals, and government regulations. Ability to comprehend and follow verbal/written instructions. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from individuals, families, regulatory agencies, or the general public. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedures and effectively present information to senior management. Ability to effectively facilitate meetings.</p> <p>Certificates, Licenses, Registrations</p> <p>Must successfully complete all mandatory training as required by the Agency within the required timeframe.</p> <ul> <li>Valid Driver's license </li><li>Current First Aid and CPR certification is required within the first 3 months and maintained throughout employment. </li><li>MAP and PAC certification required within the first 3 months on the job and must be maintained throughout employment. </li></ul> <p>Physical Demands</p> <p>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
