The intended start date for this role is after January 12, 2026.</p> <p>Summary of Functions: </p> <p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Exposure to the operations and day-to-day tasks of the Governor's Office</p> </li><li> <p>Professional development opportunities and relational network building</p> </li><li> <p>Connect Coloradans with advocates and resources across the state to ensure a first-class constituent services program, working with the constituent services team in order to make sure that the state is doing everything it can to help its constituents.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist with Correspondence (draft proclamations, congratulatory letters, welcome letters, retirement letters, and letters of recognition) and ensure all correspondence follows accessibility standards. </p> </li><li> <p>May serve as front desk receptionist (main point of contact for the public to the Governor's Office), answering phones, greeting visitors and assisting constituents.</p> </li><li> <p>Provides general administrative support to the Governor's office staff and assists with basic requests such as printer technical support, ordering supplies, etc. </p> </li><li> <p>Provides information about the office and organization to constituents and visitors. </p> </li><li> <p>Coordinates with the Office of the Governor's Community Engagement team and Constituent Services and Correspondence team.</p> </li><li> <p>Understanding of digital accessibility standards and basic document remediation skills. </p> </li><li> <p>Assisting various staff members in different offices within the Governor's Office (writing briefs, doing research, etc.).</p> </li><li> <p>Special projects and other duties as assigned.</p> </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li> <p>Commitment to consistent weekly hours based on individual schedules</p> </li><li> <p>Excellent writing, communication, and proofreading skills</p> </li><li> <p>Strong individual initiative/work ethic</p> </li><li> <p>Interest in public service</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to responsibly handle and participate in confidential work</p> </li><li> <p>Strong commitment to good government and nonpartisanship</p> </li><li> <p>Required skills include the ability to work independently, a strong attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with peers, executive staff, other departments and agencies and the general public</p> </li><li> <p>Flexibility and drive to work remotely if required </p> </li></ul> <p>The Governor's Office embraces diversity and does not discriminate based on race, color, gender, national or ethnic origin, religious affiliation, sexual orientation, marital status, age, or physical ability. Additionally, Bryanna has been having issues with renewing her driver's license. Please draft a one-page response to Bryanna on behalf of Governor Polis.</p> <p>or</p> <p>Prompt 2: The Pumpkin and Gourd Farmers Association (fictional) will be hosting their annual Pumpkin extravaganza and this year they are hosting it in Colorado. This is a festival all about pumpkin! And this year, they are hoping to break the world record for world's biggest pumpkin! They have requested the Governor write a welcome letter for their event that will be printed in their weekend program. Please draft a one-page welcome letter on behalf of the Governor for this event.</p> <p>PLEASE NOTE: Writing samples created through AI, will not be considered.
