<p>The Y has been a trusted leader in youth development for generations. From first steps to first jobs, we create opportunities for young people to grow stronger, lead with confidence, and build a future full of possibility-through sports, tutoring, mentoring, and more. As an Enrichment Site Director, you'll lead a high-quality program that supports youth, engages families, and fosters strong school partnerships.</p> <p>In this leadership role, you'll manage a school-based before and after school program site that delivers a well-rounded experience for TK-6th grade students. Your responsibilities include daily program operations, staff supervision, academic and enrichment programming, parent engagement, and collaboration with school administrators and community stakeholders.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Plan and lead a comprehensive before and after school program that includes academics, enrichment, STEAM, physical activity, and family engagement. </li><li>Ensure full compliance with all safety, risk and health procedures. </li><li>Supervise and coach program staff team members, providing training, feedback, and ongoing development. </li><li>Maintain safety, cleanliness, and risk management standards at all times. </li><li>Cultivate positive relationships with children, families, school partners, and community organizations. </li><li>Manage administrative tasks such as snack and supply orders, daily reports, and documentation. </li><li>Assist with budgeting, onboarding, and staff team member scheduling. </li><li>Use positive discipline and supervision strategies aligned with YMCA policies. </li><li>Support YMCA fundraising events, family nights, and staff team member training throughout the year. </li></ul> <p>Schedule: This is a split-shift, full-time position (40 hours/week) based on a public school campus. Typical hours are 10:00am-6:00pm, however, two days a week the Enrichment Site Director is expected to work 7:00-9:00am and 12:00-6:00pm, with additional meetings or events as needed. During school breaks, this site operates full-day day camp programming (typically 10:00am-6:00pm).</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Must be at least 21 years old. </li><li>High school diploma or equivalent. </li><li>Experience working with diverse communities and School-Age children in a group setting. </li><li>Two years' experience supervising an after school program. Previous experience working with School-Age children in a group setting (preferred). Ability to plan, organize and implement age-appropriate/developmentally appropriate program activities. Previous experience with diverse populations preferred. Ability to develop positive, authentic relationships with people from different backgrounds. </li><li>Twelve (12) qualifying units in any of the following course work: early childhood education, child development, psychology, sociology, art, theater, education, recreation, humanities, physical education, kinesiology, human services, nursing, counseling, etc. </li><li>Three (3) child development administration units. </li><li>Strong character values, strong communication skills, emotional maturity </li></ul> <p>To ease the onboarding experience, hired candidates will be provided access to complete a mandatory TB Test clearance and Health Screening, at no cost, prior to their first scheduled shift.
