In this role, you will perform work associated with the installation, maintenance, and servicing of electric meters. You will also complete meter reads, disconnects, reconnects, meter tests, and exchanges as needed.</p> <p>This position requires frequent coordination with Supervisors and Dispatchers to ensure work is completed efficiently, accurately, and safely. You should be comfortable working outdoors year-round and willing to support storm duty when required.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <p>Install, test, exchange, and maintain electric meters</p> <p>Perform electric meter readings as needed</p> <p>Conduct service disconnects and reconnects</p> <p>Collaborate with Supervision and Dispatch for scheduling and work order updates</p> <p>Work outdoors in various weather conditions</p> <p>Participate in storm duty assignments</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>High school diploma or GED required</p> <p>Valid motor vehicle operator's license</p> <p>One year of mechanical/technical experience, electrical experience strongly preferred</p> <p>Must successfully pass the CAST test (Construction and Skilled Trades) - https://jobs.eversource.com/eeo/</p> <p>Compensation & Benefits</p> <p>Hourly rate starts at $30.90/hour at Step 1, with increases in accordance with the bargaining unit contract</p> <p>Comprehensive benefits package - visit our career site to learn more</p> <p>Additional Information</p> <p>This is a union-represented position.
