<p>Position Title: Teacher Mentor & Facilitator</p> <p>Salary Range: Regionally Competitive</p> <p>Contract Length: Full-Time, Exempt</p> <p>Immediate Supervisor: Executive Director of Curriculum</p> <p>Position Summary</p> <p>The Teacher Mentor & Facilitator serves as a trusted mentor and instructional leader for</p> <p>new and beginning teachers. This role provides individualized coaching, fosters</p> <p>professional growth, and bridges communication between school-level staff and district</p> <p>leadership. The position plays a critical part in strengthening teacher retention, aligning</p> <p>classroom instruction with district priorities, and promoting a culture of collaboration and</p> <p>continuous improvement.</p> <p>Essential Responsibilities:</p> <ol> <li>Mentorship & Instructional Coaching </li></ol> <p>? Serve as a primary mentor for new teachers, providing consistent, individualized</p> <p>support.</p> <p>? Model instructional best practices, support lesson planning, and offer co-teaching</p> <p>opportunities.</p> <p>? Conduct regular check-ins and coaching sessions focused on classroom</p> <p>management and instructional strategies.</p> <p>? Support teachers in navigating district platforms (e.g., Aesop, PowerSchool,</p> <p>grading systems, ODR process).</p> <ol start="2"> <li>Professional Development Facilitation </li></ol> <p>? Connect teachers with targeted professional development opportunities within and</p> <p>outside the district.</p> <p>? Ensure access to required PD for TTT or EP compliance.</p> <p>? Collaborate with district coaches and curriculum staff to support content-specific</p> <p>training.</p> <p>? Facilitate peer learning communities, peer observations, and shared</p> <p>problem-solving.</p> <ol start="3"> <li>Communication & Liaison Role </li></ol> <p>? Act as a liaison between beginning teachers, school leadership, and central office</p> <p>personnel.</p> <p>? Communicate policy updates and procedural expectations clearly to new staff.</p> <p>? Advocate for teachers' access to resources and tools needed for success.</p> <p>? Promote alignment between classroom practices and district-wide initiatives.</p> <ol start="4"> <li>Teacher Well-being & Support </li></ol> <p>? Provide emotional and professional support for beginning teachers.</p> <p>? Help educators manage the transition into teaching, build resilience, and maintain</p> <p>a healthy work-life balance.</p> <p>? Foster a positive, inclusive school culture.</p> <ol start="5"> <li>Policy Feedback & Strategic Alignment </li></ol> <p>? Gather and share confidential feedback on policies and practices affecting</p> <p>classroom instruction.</p> <p>? Problem-solve where disconnects exist between district expectations and</p> <p>classroom realities.</p> <p>? Work with district leadership to ensure initiatives are actionable, supportive, and</p> <p>relevant.</p>
