<p>Job Description:</p> <p>Job Title: Behavioral Health Technician</p> <p>Location: Saint Louis, MO</p> <p>Department: Recovery Services</p> <p>Employment Type: Full-time</p> <p>Job Summary:</p> <p>The Behavioral Health Technician I position is responsible for providing direct and supportive care to clients/patients. This includes monitoring daily activities, intervening/responding to crises, facilitating group education and structured activities, and transporting clients as needed. Behavioral Health Technicians are responsible for understanding the client's/patient's treatment plan, documenting their behaviors, and providing a safe, therapeutic, and supportive environment.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Active Participation: Participate as an integral member of the treatment team, assisting in identifying client strengths, needs, abilities, and preferences. Carrying out any additional requests from your supervisor.</p> </li><li> <p>Program Compliance: Ensure adherence to all program expectations and rules, reporting behaviors to supervisors for effective therapeutic interventions</p> </li><li> <p>Medication Policies: Adhere rigorously to all medication policies and collaborate with trained nursing staff to guarantee compliance, whether the medication is administered by the client/patient or PFH associate.</p> </li><li> <p>Admission/Orientation Assistance: Assist in the admission/orientation process, including obtaining vital signs if applicable, safety searches of client/patient and belongings, and collecting any necessary urine/lab specimens for testing.</p> </li><li> <p>Client Education and Support: Assist and educate clients/patients in performing daily activities as needed.</p> </li><li> <p>Transportation Assistance: Provide transportation support for clients/patients as required.</p> </li></ul> <p>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Knowledge of confidentiality laws governing the treatment of substance use and mental health disorders.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.</p> </li><li> <p>Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).</p> </li><li> <p>Proficient in writing routine reports and correspondence.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to engage with clients, staff, families, and community members.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to apply common-sense understanding to follow instructions and solve problems.</p> </li><li> <p>Basic keyboarding skills and ability to navigate electronic medical records.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to establish rapport with clients while maintaining professional boundaries.</p> </li></ul> <p>Experience and Education Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>High School diploma or equivalent and two (2) years of responsible employment.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience in Human Services or a related field preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>OR</p> </li><li> <p>Exceptions to qualifications may be made by the Executive Team member.</p> </li></ul> <p>Position Perks & Benefits:</p> <p>Paid time off: full-time employees receive an attractive time off package to balance your work and personal life</p> <p>Employee benefits package: full-time employees receive health, dental, vision, retirement, life, & more</p> <p>Top-notch training: initial, ongoing, comprehensive, and supportive</p> <p>Career mobility: advancement opportunities/promoting from within</p> <p>Welcoming, warm, supportive: a work culture & environment that promotes your well-being, values you as human being, and encourages your health and happiness</p> <p>Brightli is on a Mission:</p> <p>A mission to improve client care, reduce the financial burden of community mental health centers by sharing resources, a mission to have a larger voice in advocacy to increase access to mental health and substance user care in our communities, and a mission to evolve the behavioral health industry to better meet the needs of our clients.</p> <p>As a behavioral and community mental health provider, we prioritize fostering a culture of belonging and connection within our workforce.
