<p>Job Title: Traveling SuperintendentJob Description</p> <p>We are seeking a dedicated Traveling Superintendent to join our team, handling an abundance of work from clients in the quick-serve restaurant industry. The ideal candidate will oversee all daily construction activities on-site, ensuring projects progress smoothly and efficiently. The role involves traveling to locations such as Whitetown, IN, or Champaign, IL, and includes ground-up builds followed by tenant build-outs. You will collaborate closely with the Project Manager, managing subcontractors, scheduling, and ensuring timely delivery of equipment and materials.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Oversee all daily construction activities of the project on-site. </li><li>Collaborate with the Project Manager to ensure project progress and scheduling of subcontractors. </li><li>Manage the delivery of equipment and materials. </li><li>Work with subcontractors to complete projects within the given budget and time frame. </li><li>Schedule utilities and inspections. </li><li>Assess the work of others and make corrections as needed. </li><li>Create thorough daily field log reports. </li><li>Ensure and maintain a safe work environment according to OSHA standards. </li><li>Assist with finish work requiring carpentry skills, such as door hanging, caulking, décor installation, and trim installation. </li><li>Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. </li><li>Report to a Division Manager. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>Ground up experience on any project type, minimum 3 projects. </li><li>Regional home base near Indiana - ideally IN/IL/OH. </li><li>Willingness to travel for projects, typically ~3-month projects. </li><li>Fast-paced project experience; comfortable executing in ~60-90 day cycles. </li><li>Scheduling and planning discipline, producing 2-week look-ahead schedules. </li><li>Pass background check and drug screen. </li><li>Construction leadership background: 2+ years as Superintendent (preferred) or Foreman/lead trade (3-4+ years). </li><li>Client-facing communication skills. </li><li>Technology competence with field reporting on a tablet (Surface Pro), email, and basic software use. </li><li>Physical site mobility for active oversight. </li><li>Willingness to work some Saturdays as needed. </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>OSHA 30 certification </li><li>Carpentry background </li><li>Experience transitioning between multiple short-duration projects annually </li><li>Procore experience </li><li>Familiarity with FieldLens for daily reports </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>The position requires on-site presence 5 days a week, with the flexibility to work Saturdays if needed. The superintendent will have access to a Surface Pro for technology needs and is provided a cellphone. Travel is an integral part of the role, with a per diem and mileage reimbursement offered. Lodging arrangements include self-booked accommodations paid via company credit card or reimbursement for personal lodging solutions. The work environment is dynamic, with an emphasis on maintaining a safe and efficient site while ensuring project timelines are met. The opportunity allows for home visits on weekends, depending on project location.</p> <p>Job Type & Location</p> <p>This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Noblesville, IN.</p> <p>Pay and Benefits</p> <p>The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $120000.00/hr.</p> <p>Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
