All of our system institutions place strong emphasis on service - helping to build healthier, more educated communities in South Carolina and beyond.</p> <p>Advertised Job Summary</p> <p>Program/Job Coordinator</p> <p>University of South Carolina Upstate</p> <p>RTF</p> <p>Spartanburg, SC</p> <p>Under general supervision, the position is responsible for delivering and coordinating a comprehensive workforce-readiness and educational training program for Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA )- eligible youth. The primary goal of the role is to equip participants with foundational academic skills, employability competencies, and work-based learning experiences that lead to successful job placement, continued education, and long-term self-sufficiency.</p> <p>Required Education and Experience</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <p>Bachelor's degree and 5 or more years of related experience. Strongly prefer job development and teaching experience and knowledge of area businesses.</p> <p>Knowledge/Skills/Abilities</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of workforce development practices, instructional methods, and program compliance requirements (e.g., WIOA ), including serving at-risk or underserved populations </li><li>Skill in delivering training, coordinating program activities, managing participant cases, and tracking outcomes using data systems </li><li>Skill in building and maintaining relationships with employers, community partners, and program participants </li><li>Ability to exercise independent judgment, manage competing priorities, and meet program performance goals </li><li>Ability to communicate effectively, engage diverse populations, and represent the program in community-based settings </li></ul> <p>Job Close Date</p> <p>Special Instructions to Applicant</p> <p>The application must be completed including all current and previous work history and education.
