<p>MARC, Inc. of Manchester is looking for a Part-Time Direct Support Professional in our DSO W/ Work department. The primary function of this position is to ensure that all individuals participate in integrated, dignified and respectful social activities and that services are provided in accordance with not only MARC, Inc.'s mission statement and philosophy but also with State and Federal mandated laws, policies and regulations.</p> <p>JOB DUTIES TO INCLUDE:</p> <ul> <li>Implements Day Service services which offer both daily community activities and center based activity options. </li><li>Participates in activities according to individual preferences. </li><li>Prepares necessary reports and completes documentation as required by the agency and the State Department of Developmental Services. </li><li>Ensures accurate emergency fact sheet information and case record files for participants. </li><li>Creatively plans and implements appropriate activities for all participants. </li><li>Administers medications to participants in a timely and accurate manner. </li></ul> <p>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent </li><li>Ability to obtain CT license, auto-registration, and vehicle insurance as driving is required </li><li>Knowledge of proactive thinking and positive supports </li><li>Must be able to complete all essential job duties, minimum qualifications, and physical efforts with or without a disability. </li></ul> <p>PHYSICAL EFFORTS:</p> <ul> <li>Frequent sitting, walking, standing, and driving. </li><li>Ability to lift and transfer up to 30 lbs. and occasional lifting of nonambulatory people </li></ul> <p>WORK REMOTELY:</p> <ul> <li>No </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>MARC, Inc. of Manchester is a not-for-profit agency which supports people with disabilities in Manchester, Connecticut and surrounding towns since 1952.
