Typically reporting directly to plant Operations Manager, prepares operation schedules and coordinates manufacturing activities to ensure production and quality meet specifications. May be required to meet certain certifications in field.</p> <p>Essential Functions:</p> <p>The following duties are normal for this position. The incumbent may perform some or all of these duties; however, it is not an exclusive or all-inclusive list. Other duties may be assigned.</p> <ul> <li>Implements operational strategies to assure company objectives in the areas of safety, productivity, quality, customer service, sales, human capital, cost and profitability </li><li>Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure lean initiatives deliver expected results and optimize processes </li><li>Accountable for assigned site's key performance metrics including machine and labor efficiencies and provides guidance to departmental leaders to ensure scorecard objectives are met </li><li>Supports Operations Manager & Production Manager in managing capacity and participates in collaboration with other sites on scheduling optimization to meet internal and external customer on-time-delivery demands </li><li>Supports equipment feasibility studies and makes recommendations for investment; implements capital expenditure project and is accountable for payback expectations </li><li>Conduct Kaizen events, lean initiatives, and various continuous improvement (CI) projects to enhance efficiency </li><li>Document standard work procedures (SOPs) to eliminate variation and promote knowledge sharing. Ensure all employees adhere to SOPs </li><li>Foster a culture of continuous improvement and empower employees to identify and address waste, inefficiencies, and problems </li><li>Collaborates with cross-functional leaders to set continuous improvement initiatives to drive operational excellence </li><li>Lead and motivate others positively, including coaching team members to follow work instructions, achieve standards and goals, and provide corrective feedback. Work with peers to provide corrective action as needed and ensure tasks are performed according to established procedures </li><li>Complete employee disciplinary issues and performance reviews in a timely manner and in line with employee handbook </li><li>Assume the roles and responsibilities of the Operations Manager during scheduled vacations or unforeseen absences, ensuring seamless continuity of operations, effective team leadership, and timely decision-making to maintain departmental performance and service standards </li><li>Executes the annual financial plan and monitors performance through forecasting and/or other company reports </li><li>Provides guidance on staffing, training, employee relations and performance management to develop and enhance the salaried and hourly production team, working closely with direct reports </li><li>Interacts with key stakeholders to provide technical support, explore new business opportunities, and/or resolve order problems or complaints </li><li>Maintains industry, professional and technical knowledge by networking, attending industry events, and reviewing professional publications </li></ul> <p>Education:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree preferred </li></ul> <p>Work Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Minimum of 8-10 years of Offset Press experience required </li><li>Minimum of 8-10 years of Management experience required </li></ul> <p>Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of methods, accepted practices, considerations and regulatory requirements associated with safety and protection of workers, environment and site </li><li>Knowledge of day-to-day and strategic issues, operational requirements and management of a manufacturing facility </li><li>Knowledge of the physical environment and full spectrum of activities for managing and maintaining physical facilities and infrastructure </li><li>Knowledge of tools and techniques for preventing and addressing theft of assets, theft of information, vandalism, sabotage and other threats to a manufacturing facility </li><li>Knowledge of the electrical, mechanical and logistics equipment used in manufacturing, including its safe usage, maintenance and storage </li><li>Knowledge of technologies and applications used in manufacturing products and in the optimization of manufacturing processes </li><li>Must have good color perception </li><li>Knowledge of inks and solvent characteristics and effects in different uses </li><li>Microsoft Office Skills: Windows, Outlook, SharePoint, SAP, Word, Power Point, and Excel </li></ul> <p>#LI-HM1</p> <p>#MPC</p> <p>Two companies, one vision.</p> <p>Menasha Corporation consists of two companies that are leading the way to a sustainable future with packaging and supply chain solutions.
