This is the heartbeat of our organization and your time will be spent in a supportive, team environment with resources to help you flourish and leaders who care about your success.</p> <p>Responsible for the development, coordination, and teaching of EMS courses and continuing education programs which meet established state and national standards.</p> <p>Job Requirements</p> <p>In addition to bringing humankindness to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:</p> <p>Education:</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma/GED, required </li></ul> <p>Experience:</p> <ul> <li>5 years of related experience in emergency medical services (EMS), preferably in both: field (911 ambulance and/or fire agency) and in hospital. </li><li>3 years experience in instructing students by using adult learning principles and instructional methodologies. </li><li>Prefer experience in developing education programs. </li><li>Knowledge of the EMS, Law Enforcement and Fire Department agencies in service area. </li><li>Demonstrated experience analyzing raw data, finding trends, and preparing statistical reports. </li><li>Knowledge and experience in medical/trauma terminology, disease conditions, pharmacology, cardiology, treatment modalities, therapeutic testing and interventions. </li><li>Knowledge and experience in computer instructional technology and Microsoft Office Professional software. </li></ul> <p>Licenses/Certifications:</p> <ul> <li>Current Healthcare License and/or Paramedic Certification in state of employment. </li><li>Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required, must obtain *BLS Instructor Certification with 1 year of hire/transfer date. If at the time of hire/transfer date candidate has BLS, ACLS, PALS Instructor Certifications than the basic BLS, ACLS and PALS Certifications are not required. </li><li>Advanced Cardiac Life Support Instructor Certification (AHA ACLS) within one year of hire. </li><li>Pediatric Advanced Life Support Instructor Certification (AHA PALS) within one year of hire. </li></ul> <p>Where You'll Work</p> <p>Founded in 1875, for more than a century, Holy Cross Hospital Salt Lake has provided high-quality healthcare for residents of the Salt Lake Valley.
