This includes accurately performing preliminary physical tests such as measuring blood pressure, recording weight, temperature, pulse, respiration, and other measures as directed by established clinical protocols.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Communicates professionally and effectively, both verbally and nonverbally, with patients, families, medical staff, colleagues, vendors, and other departments to promote continuity of care, enhance clinic image, and ensure high-quality service.</p> </li><li> <p>Provides positive and professional customer service in all interactions with patients, staff, and visitors.</p> </li><li> <p>Utilizes strong interpersonal skills to establish and maintain positive relationships with healthcare team members, patients, and families.</p> </li><li> <p>Respects patient confidentiality and adheres to HIPAA guidelines and regulations at all times.</p> </li><li> <p>Participates in staff development activities and orientation as requested.</p> </li><li> <p>Acts as a patient advocate, addressing concerns and resolving issues proactively.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintains current CPR certification.</p> </li><li> <p>Follows equipment maintenance protocols, identifies problems, and coordinates repairs as needed.</p> </li><li> <p>Operates office equipment (fax, copier, phone, computer) efficiently.</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborates effectively as a team member in the clinic.</p> </li></ul> <p>MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Provides cross-coverage in other clinic areas as needed.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintains supply inventory and stocks supplies in various work areas.</p> </li><li> <p>Participates in Performance Improvement activities as appropriate.</p> </li><li> <p>Keeps work area clean and organized.</p> </li><li> <p>Performs miscellaneous office duties (e.g., copying, filing, retrieving films/medical records).</p> </li><li> <p>Assists with nursing chart audits.</p> </li></ul> <p>MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:</p> <p>*</p> <ul> <li>Accredited Medical Assistant Program </li><li>Accredited Radiography Technology Program (for limited radiography) and State of Iowa Limited Radiographer Certification </li><li>High school diploma or GED - Required </li><li>Must be at least 18 years of age - Required </li><li>CPR certification (must be obtained within 6 months of start date) - Required </li></ul> <p>Our Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion</p> <p>Trinity Health is one of the largest not-for-profit, Catholic healthcare systems in the nation.
