Build your future with Fiore!</p> <p>The Demolition Foreman is a critical field leader responsible for executing daily demolition operations and ensuring crews perform work safely, efficiently, and in alignment with project expectations. In partnership with the Superintendent, this role oversees on-site personnel, coordinates subcontractors, and manages day-to-day activities including sequencing, material handling, and site organization.</p> <p>The Demolition Foreman plays a key role in maintaining a safe, productive, and well-coordinated job site while supporting inspections, facilitating communication across teams, and ensuring work is performed in accordance with project plans and standards. This position combines hands-on leadership with strong operational awareness to drive successful field execution.</p> <p>TOTAL COMPENSATION</p> <p>$87,700.00 to $165,800.00 annually</p> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <ul> <li>Demonstrate working knowledge of assigned projects including specifications and scope requirements to ensure project is constructed according to intended design, quality and safety standards while maintaining budget and time goals. </li><li>Understand and apply project contract documents, plans, specifications, and RFIs. </li><li>Understand and apply OSHA and project safety requirements or concerns, and take corrective actions as needed. </li><li>Ensure all crew members practice safe behaviors, wear proper PPE, comply with all OSHA, and project safety requirements. </li><li>Maintain and complete accurate project daily and weekly activity reports. </li><li>Recommend changes to project schedule in order to improve crew scheduling efficiencies, increase productivity, equipment, and methods. </li><li>Ensure that each subcontractor complies with all requirements and maintains project specifications. </li><li>Perform construction activities including, but not limited to, preparation (including calling for locates), operation, and closing of job site; proper testing of work completed. </li><li>Operate vehicles and equipment such as pick-up trucks, motor graders, front-end leaders, track type dozers, track type excavators, skid steers, and water trucks as required. </li><li>Demonstrate solid team leadership with direct reports and assist with their training and development. Be accessible to employees to address questions or concerns. </li><li>Gather and enter crew payroll time and verify accuracy and cost code. </li><li>Ensure crew and subcontractor clean-up occurs on a daily and weekly basis. </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul> <li>Solid knowledge of heavy construction, including: </li><li>Experience operating a variety of heavy construction equipment (skid-steer, loader, excavator, blade, etc.) and the ability to train and correct others on the same. </li><li>Ability to read, interpret, and understand plan drawings, stakes, and grading. </li><li>Top notch management skills, including: </li><li>Passion and skill for supervisory duties and engaging team members. </li><li>Patience and insight with a wide variety of personalities and communication styles. </li><li>Excellent conflict management skills. </li><li>Strong training capabilities. </li><li>Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with members of the team, GCs, owners, contractors, inspectors, and suppliers. </li><li>Superior problem-solving skills </li><li>Excellent project management skills, including: </li><li>Big picture understanding of construction projects, including budgets, timelines, prioritization, and milestones. </li><li>Ability to multi-task, coordinate, delegate and supervise project activities and staff. </li><li>Computer, writing, and organizational skills </li><li>Superior work ethic: </li><li>Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and/or holidays as required to accommodate customer and project demands. </li><li>Ability to set the example of work ethic for the rest of the crew and lead from the front </li><li>Significant EQ and communication skills, including: </li><li>Ability to interact effectively with internal and external customers on multiple platforms and at all levels while remaining professional, supportive, and empathetic. </li><li>Ability to communicate potential problems and inspire trust such that potential problems are taken seriously and acted upon by other teams well before they become actual problems. </li><li>Ability to maintain calm and motivating attitude on job site, even in the face of dramatic plan changes, severe complications, and inappropriate clients, vendors, or other partners. </li><li>Ability to handle stressful situations in a profoundly professional manner. </li><li>Fully embody the organizational values of Fiore & Sons, possessing the highest level of integrity, including ethical business practices and a commitment to ensuring that own behavior is consistent with or exceeding company values with an exquisite level of professionalism and confidentiality. </li></ul> <p>EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE</p> <ul> <li>Required: At minimum, a high school diploma or GED, willingness to learn, and trainability. 10 Hours OSHA Safety class within 30 days of assignment. Ability to handle stressful situations in a professional manner. Basic to intermediate computer skills to perform report </li><li>Preferred: 3 or more years of Supervisory experience in the civil construction trade with a focus on demolition. Safety and OSHA compliance with 30-hour OSHA Safety class. </li><li>Understanding of budget project principles is a plus. </li></ul> <p>LANGUAGE SKILLS</p> <p>This position requires the ability to communicate in English with co-workers, customers, and the general public.</p> <p>MATH SKILLS</p> <p>This job requires the ability to understand and execute basic math equations.</p> <p>PHYSICAL DEMANDS</p> <p>Work functions require the physical ability and mobility to safely walk in undeveloped project grounds, as well as to sit, stand, and ride in vehicles for long periods of time, as well as the physical ability and mobility to repeatedly push, pull and climb repeatedly, to access equipment, modify attachments, and control cabin. Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time, as well as to lift up to 50 pounds intermittently.</p> <p>WORK ENVIRONMENT</p> <p>Outside work exposed to variant weather conditions (hot, rain, snow) and muddy ground conditions.
