Our culture of teamwork, professionalism, and respect combine to make Griffin Hospital a place where both patients and caregivers thrive.</p> <p>Benefits:</p> <ul> <li>6 Federal Holidays Off! </li><li>Paid Time Off </li><li>Medical, Dental, Vision </li><li>403b Retirement Benefit </li><li>Tuition Reimbursement </li></ul> <p>MAIN FUNCTION:</p> <ul> <li>Fulfills patient care responsibilities as assigned, including organizing patient flow, preparing exam rooms, accompanying patients to exam rooms. </li><li>Documents patient history, charting, collecting specimens, relaying instructions to patients, and assisting patients as necessary. </li><li>Performs patient screening, including documenting patient history, performing medication reconciliation and obtaining vitals. </li></ul> <p>Assists doctor with physical exam and office procedures as necessary.</p> <ul> <li>Assists office coordinator with answering phones, scheduling appointments, and other administrative duties as needed. </li><li>Manages and updates patient medical records, manages referrals and prior authorizations. </li><li>Maintains inventory of clinical equipment and supplies, including ordering and restocking when necessary. </li><li>Obtain prior authorizations and book surgeries as needed. </li><li>Additional responsibilities as needed. </li><li>Required to float to other GFP offices/locations based on business need. </li></ul> <p>EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED. Graduate of recognized Medical Assistant/ Medical Office Assistant diploma program preferred.</p> <p>EXPERIENCE:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Experience working in a surgical office strongly preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>Must possess strong customer service skills and must be able to multi-task.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience with electronic medical records is required.</p> </li></ul> <p>EOE/Minorities/Females/Vet/Disabled</p>
