<p>Job Description:</p> <p>The Counselor/LGBTQIA+ Specialist provides direct clinical mental health counseling services to enrolled students in both undergraduate and graduate schools, including: individual and group counseling; outreach programming; case management; crisis intervention; training of graduate trainees; and collaboration/consultation with faculty and staff. The LGBTQIA+ Specialist would be responsible for creating outreach programs, workshops, staff trainings for counseling center colleagues and therapy groups in support of the LGBTQIA+ student population. The clinician in this position would serve as the consultant for campus partners on LGBTQIA+ related issues.</p> <p>All positions at Clark share in the responsibility for building a community that values diversity and the uniqueness of others by exhibiting integrity and respect in interacting with all members of the Clark community to create an atmosphere of fairness and belonging.</p> <p>Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Master's or doctoral degree in a mental health discipline (e.g., psychology, counseling, social work, or related clinical field) </li><li>Must have independent licensure (LICSW, LMHC, or PsyD/PhD) within the state of Massachusetts (or is license eligible within a year). </li><li>Must have prior experience working with and contributing to a diverse workplace with the ability to interact effectively with a broad range of constituents on campus. </li><li>Must have a general expert knowledge of mental health and psychological functioning. </li><li>Must be trained in the provision of affirmative therapy to members of the LGBTQIA+ community. </li><li>Experience in developing and implementing LGBTQIA+ outreach and psychoeducational programming, preferred. </li></ul> <p>Additional Information:</p> <p>Expected Hiring Range: $61,700 to $68,150</p> <p>Pay Transparency Disclosure:</p> <p>The compensation for this position will be determined based on factors that include available budget, internal equity, and the selected candidate's qualifications, experience, education, and other job-related credentials.
