<p>Job Responsibilities</p> <p>Do you have a passion to provide meaningful work in the community? Then the South Carolina Department of Social Services has the right job opportunity for you.</p> <p>Job Duties:</p> <ul> <li>The CWS Program Coordinator I ensures accountability and quality substitute care by licensing residential group care facilities in accordance with DSS Policy, Agency Mission, GPS Practice Model, and state regulations. Will be responsible for ensure policy, practice, and regulations are followed so that providers can be licensed to adequately provide substitute care for children in foster care. Will track performances and outcomes for reporting purposes. </li><li>Promotes safety, permanency, and well-being by ensuring fidelity to policy and procedures and participating in case consultation and case reviews, reviewing data reports, monitoring policy changes, and ensuring attendance in mandatory trainings. </li><li>Responds to regulatory complaints for group homes and may accompany regulatory liaison to site visits as needed. Creates and monitors corrective action plans when warranted. </li><li>Licenses and relicenses residential group care facilities for children (and child placing agencies) based on licensing regulations. Processes licenses, amendments, closures, and monitors facilities for compliance in accordance with regulations and agency procedures. </li><li>Maintains current information in the agency's database (CAPSS) and the licensing database (Binti) to ensure accuracy of the information. </li><li>Provides technical assistance and consultation related to the regulations to providers. </li><li>Authentically engages providers, other professionals within the agency, and external partners (e.g., Fire Marshall) with empathy and respect to include timely responses to telephone calls, emails, and texts. Participates in and/or facilitates child and family team meetings. Responds timely and professionally to constituent inquiries. </li><li>Maintains an active routine of self-care and pursues support when necessary to minimize the threat of secondary trauma to physical and mental health. Understands the impact of trauma on families and secondary trauma on child welfare staff and applies principles to support families and staff. </li><li>Ensures Personal Identifying Information (PII) is properly used, accessed, gathered, shared and disposed. Protects the agency networks and applications by safeguarding systems, equipment and data. </li><li>Performs Red Cross shelter duty or other emergency shelter duties/services as directed. </li><li>Performs other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Minimum and Additional Requirements</p> <p>A Bachelor's Degree and two (2) years of professional experience in social services programs, correctional, education, business administration, general administrative management, or relevant program experience.</p> <p>Additional Comments</p> <p>This application for employment with the SC Department of Social Services must be completed in its entirety.
