<p>Overview</p> <p>The Assistant Store Manager - Visual Merchandising is responsible for all management duties, with additional responsibilities as it relates to visual merchandising.</p> <p>This role is pivotal in ensuring our store's visual presentation aligns with our brand standards and enhances the customer's shopping experience. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for design, strong leadership skills, and a passion for home decor.</p> <p>This role must have professional presence and courage. Must be able to communicate thoughtful feedback (opportunities, challenges and successes) to executive leadership and other business partners.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>Management Duties:</p> <ul> <li>Assist the Store Manager in daily operations, including opening and closing procedures, staff scheduling, and inventory management. </li><li>Supervise and motivate store staff to achieve sales targets and maintain high customer service standards. </li><li>Maintain a clean, organized, and safe store environment. </li><li>Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly and professionally. </li></ul> <p>Talent Development:</p> <ul> <li>Supervise and motivate store staff to achieve sales targets and maintain high customer service standards. </li><li>Participate in training sessions for new employees and ongoing development for existing staff. </li><li>Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. </li></ul> <p>Visual Merchandising:</p> <ul> <li>Develop and implement visual merchandising strategies to enhance store presentation and drive sales. </li><li>Create and maintain visually appealing and on-brand displays per the brand's visual merchandising direction. </li><li>Ensure promotional strategies are executed and maintained. </li><li>Monitor and analyze merchandising performance, making adjustments as needed to optimize product placement and presentation. </li><li>Collaborate with the Store Manager and visual merchandising team to plan and execute seasonal and promotional displays. </li><li>Execute changes in initiatives and direction appropriately and in a timely manner in order to drive results. </li><li>Train and guide store staff on visual merchandising standards and techniques. </li></ul> <p>Perform other duties as needed</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>5+ years of retail experience desired, including management experience in multiple visual merchandising, operational and/or customer-facing roles, preferably in the home decor industry. </li><li>Strong visual merchandising skills with a creative flair. </li><li>Exceptional leadership with a focus on collaboration and results. </li><li>Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. </li><li>Excellent customer service skills </li><li>Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing profitability </li><li>Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. </li><li>Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions </li><li>Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. </li><li>Proficiency in retail management systems and Microsoft Office. </li><li>Ability to work 40 hours per week, based upon the needs of the business. </li><li>Ability to work weekends, holidays and evenings. </li><li>Ability to travel occasionally to the other store locations and the Sales Support Center for meetings. </li><li>A valid driver's license. </li><li>Must be able to ascend/descend a ladder to retrieve and stock products on the shelf or to hang overhead banners/ product. </li><li>Frequently positions self to retrieve and stock products in the stock room and sales floor and to place merchandise in bags. </li><li>Must be able to constantly move around the store for prolonged periods to greet and assist customers. </li><li>Must be able to frequently communicate with the customers in person, electronically, and telephonically. </li><li>Must be able to frequently move merchandise that is 50 pounds or more to and from the stock room to sales floor. </li><li>Must be able to operate a Point-of-Sale system, registers and handheld devices efficiently and accurately. </li></ul>
