<p>Accountant IIl - District Attorney</p> <p>Hourly Pay Range: $28.21 - $42.30</p> <p>Closing Date: May 19, 2025. Or upon receipt of the first 50 application submissions received.</p> <p>Job Summary: The Accountant IIl will work under the supervision of the Financial Manager, assist in the fiscal administration of the district attorney's federal and state grant programs, and perform various accounting, payroll, and purchasing functions.</p> <p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Maintain the district attorney inventory of fixed assets in compliance with county rules. Assign asset tags and prepare regular reports on fixed assets for Office of the Comptroller and surplus obsolete fixed assets in accordance with county procedures. </li><li>Assist in the preparation of the district attorney's federal and state grant programs claims - including the compilation of timesheets and expenditures, summary spreadsheets, quarterly reimbursement claims, grant budgets, and single audit reports. </li><li>Perform district attorney purchasing functions in Infor - create requisitions and receivers. </li><li>Deposit checks and create cash receipts in Infor and follow up when invoices/claims are not paid. </li><li>Other duties as assigned which may include special projects, etc. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Education and Years of Experience Required:</p> <ul> <li>Current resident of the United States </li><li>High School Diploma or GED equivalent </li><li>Three (3) years of experience working in accounting </li><li>Proficient with Microsoft products i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook and QuickBooks. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Areas:</p> <ul> <li>The ideal candidate will have familiarity with federal and state grant reporting </li><li>Associate or higher degree in accounting is preferred. </li></ul> <p>Please Note: Subject to manager approval and the needs of the department, this posiion is eligible to telework at 40% after probation is completed.</p> <p>Required Skills and Abilities:</p> <p>Knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures; knowledge of office practices and procedures; skilled in performing mathematical computations; analytical and organizational skills; the ability and knowledge with use of personal computers; data processing skills and creating spread sheets; skilled in planning, preparing and performing accounting tasks; oral and written communication skills; ability to accurately compile and maintain a wide variety of tasks in a timely manner with minimal supervision; ability to work effectively and harmoniously with others. The ability to lift/carry up to 10lbs and push/pull up to 20lbs</p> <p>NOTE: This position is unclassified and not subject to Civil Service Rules and Regulations.
