<p>Job Description and Duties</p> <p>THIS POSITION MAY BE ELIGIBLE FOR A HYBRID WORK SCHEDULE. Limited term positions may be appointed up to 12 months or extended to 24 months with the possibility of becoming permanent. </li></ul> <p>If you're seeking a dynamic and challenging role that offers extensive experience in Information Technology (IT), along with the opportunity to contribute to large-scale EDDNext Document Management Solution (DMS) Modernization project, implement new and innovative data capture, AI, and enterprise content management software solutions in an AWS or Azure Cloud environment, this is the perfect opportunity for you!</p> <p>The Employment Development Department (EDD) is looking for a highly motivated and qualified individual to lead the DMS Development Group, in the Document Technology Services Section (DTS) of the Application Services Division (ASD).</p> <p>The IT Manager I, under the administrative direction of the Document Technology Services Section Chief, provides leadership, planning and coordination of work activities and resources, technical expertise, management of engineering staff, as well as application modernization, process development, improvement, and maintenance for the new and old Document Management Systems supporting the EDD's multiple lines of business. The incumbent supports the centralized scanning, data capture, digitization, and enterprise content management systems to process the Department's various documents and other state entity documents for, but not limited to, Unemployment Insurance, Disability Insurance, Paid Family Leave, and revenue generating Tax programs.</p> <p>The incumbent will be involved in the EDDNext DMS Modernization efforts, while also overseeing the coordination, maintenance, and support of current legacy COTS/Custom DMS applications.
